Derrek Lee

Post#1 » by IbreakNeckZ101 » Fri Aug 17, 2007 9:07 pm

i've never seen someone do this bad in a long time.... and that's including jacque jones.. Derrek Lee is equivalent to watching latoya hawkins for me.. i know that sounds kinda overboard but that's me.. it;s alright though he has his ring and his fat contract...

Are you kidding...granted he is not having a great season but he is still hitting .312...with a +.400 OBP and nearly .500 slugging...certainly not the numbers we have come to expect from him but certailny not hawkin-esque...still probably better than the average NL 1B.

I would guess the wrist injury sufferred last year is still robbing some of his power...I expect the doubles will turn into HRs again hopefully before the season is over but for sure by next season.

I said I was going to come September. For now its my mission to make the real Cubs fans on this board aware that you're not a real fan, just a pessimistic poser.

Lee is just in a cold streak. He is an All-Star type player when playing hot.

You don't carry yourself as a fan. I don't even care if you aren't wildly optimistic like some fans are, but literally all you do is search for things you can bitch and moan about and then proceed to blow them way out of proportion.

You chime in on game threads only to take a jab at a Cub or some other such negative post.

You suck as a fan, if you are one. Threads like these only further the point.

honestly im tired of you're whining and bitching of everything i do.. if you can't handle me than you can't handle alot of cub fans because there are plenty of more out there like me.... every time i post something here you come complaining.."OMG YOU SUCK AT BEING A FAN" i suggest you just ignore me right now and not wait until september... i'm done with you and i got nothing else to say.

I could give a f$%@ what you have to say to me or what you think of me, as I said before my only purpose is to make sure the regulars/real fans here realize that you're a joke and should pay no attention to you.

Yeah okay, I'm classless.

Meanwhile, the Cubs have won 2 in a row and regained their share of 1st place. Tons of hitters getting hot.

After a few lame pessimistic posts in the game thread, to which other people noted your pessimism, you create this POS thread blowing Lee's cold streak way out of proportion. Almost as if you're completely unaware of the normal happenings of any player. Slumps are commonplace, the best thing you can do is hope they see through it and continue to support them.

Of course, the posers immediately call for their head.

good... you're not attacking me now but my comments on derrek lee  which is why i made this thread.... look like i said before... derrek Lee is hitting a abysmal 1.51 w/risp since may... don't you think that it's time for him to finally step it up.... and the fact that he just got paid makes it even more terrible.

I don't see how you could be a Cub fan and not love D-Lee, but that's me. He's still my favourite player.

Yeah I overreacted yesterday a bit. Just a slump. He usually gets them early in the year, not late like this. This is when he heats up or is at least at par.

Aramis and Ryan Theriot are quickly becoming my favorite players.

my favorite cubs player is and always will be D Lee and DeRosa is definitely becoming one of my new favorites.... As for you 2poor... i must agree.... IBreakNeck or whatever is just like all of the fans that boo jacque jones when he strikes out after having a 3/4 game or when a pitcher has a tough game... Guess what... IT HAPPENS, its what's so great about the game of baseball...

I love D-Lee. I've got his uni on now. But he is ice ice ICE cold. He'll pull out of it though. Other guys like Jones, Derosa, and especially Rami are carrying the workload.

If the Cubs can get healthy, somehow build a lead in the division so they have some leverage, I think its ours to lose boys.
