Scouting Reports:
Brewers:
Suppan matched up against Arizona ace Brandon Webb on Wednesday and remained winless in 11 starts since June 22 despite one of his better efforts. Suppan pitched seven innings for the first time since June 1, and was saddled with three runs on seven hits in a 3-2 loss. D-backs rookie Chris Young hit a changeup for a leadoff home run, and Orlando Hudson followed with a triple that turned into a go-ahead run in the first inning, but Suppan settled in after that flurry and the Brewers forged a short-lived tie in the sixth. Suppan is 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA against the Cubs this year.

Cubs:
Hill posted his 14th quality start of the year in his last start, but did not get a win. He struck out 10, the fifth time in his career he's reached double digits in strikeouts. What was working? His curve and a consistent fastball. He also was aggressive in his approach, which Hill needs to be successful. He shrugs off his personal win-loss record. "Personal goals aren't what you look for," Hill said. "When it's all said and done at the end, it's not what you did during the season, it's how the team did. It's a positive way of looking at it."

Yeah, and everyone but Lou wants to put him 1st in the lineup. He isn't going to test his legs anyways right now.

I don't think Rich Hill and Carlos Zambrano are both going to get tagged with a loss.

this series:
DO OR DIE
MAKE IT OR BREAK IT
KILL OR BE KILLED
SWEEP OR GET SWEEPED

I think this series will determine who makes the post season between Milwaukee and the Cubs. Cubs are up 1.5 games on the Brewers so if they get the sweep, or at least win the series they will be up about 3.5 or 4.5 games up.

The Cardinals are making a run though for the N.L Central only being 2.5 games back and making a solid run for the division. It will be really interesting to see who will win the N.L Central this season. I think the Brewers will fall short and it will be the Cubs and the Cardinals fighting for the division.

Fixed. ;)

Both teams are pathetic. That's why we Brewer fans have legally renamed the NL Central the NL Comedy Central.

Keys to the series for the Crew: Pitching. The Crew has Prince back from his curious suspension, but now, they need their pitching to step up. If not, we'll be lucky to take 1 from you guys.

I agree, I think that the pitchers for the Brew Crew need to step it up in this series or they are looking at a sweep, and the Brewers can't afford to lose much more ground in the N.L Central.

Brave, your sig is a lil to big, maybe shrink it down? And their's still a lot of baseball left...about 30-35 games for most teams.

He owns everyone in the Majors.

Too bad prince can't bat in the 3, 4 and 8 holes. We would be really good than.

Oh I didn't know it had to be a certain size, my bad. How do you shrink it anyway?

Yes and there is alot of baseball left.
