In Alfonso Soriano's head, it's Soriano and the cubs.. not the cubs. He will never allow Lou to hold him back for another week and as for the leadoff spot he's their forever ppl.

If he is batting leadoff it would lead you to belive that he has to be feeling a lot better and fully healthy. If he isn't then they would have moved him down to the fourth spot where he wouldn't have to run so much.

We were 9-11 without Soriano. Him coming back is a good good good thing.

I'm fine with him at leadoff if he feels the most comfortable/plays better, there.

I had this thought when we signed this guy.

What kind of player wants out of NY to be the man. Geez I hate the Yanks but its NY, the most historic franchise ever. Then again he knows he has to play team player on this Cubs team because if he does end up helping out in a World Series victory he is probably god.

SportsWorld posted his statistics in the playoffs of 03'.. i actually brought this up when Soriano was struggling.. I saw an article in 03' about Steinbrennar straight bombing Soriano for not performing in the playoffs and saying he never wants to see Soriano in a Yankee uniform again.. Anyways this signing was terrible..but Soriano is that type of player that can carry an offense in the "REGULAR" season.. if you expect him to perform in the playoffs you're dead wrong.. but this is not 03' hopefully he changed by then :-?

I remember Soriano hit a clutch HR for the Yankees against the Diamonbacks in the World Series.

As you know the Yankees then choked in the 9th.
