Hey guys,

Brewer fan here. I come in peace. Just wondering you guys have any advice for getting down to Wrigley. I live just north of Milwaukee so I'd be coming from that direction. I assume train/bus would be the best option, but I'm not sure how that all works.

Hopefully you guys don't give me the wrong directions and I appreciate any input you can give me. I look forward to seeing Wrigley.

Just go to 333 W 35th St and you should see the park.


But seriously, are you driving down from Milwaukee to park or are you taking a bus from Milwaukee? If you are driving down here I would suggest parking at Devry University. They have a huge parking lot there and they have buses there which transport you right down to the stadium and it is only about 5-10 minutes away from Wrigley and it is only $5.00.
Devry University is located on 3300 N Campbell Ave in Chicago, IL.
You may need to do a Mapquest for directions.

If you can give me some of your travel arrangements already planned I could help you out a little more.

If you plan to spend a whole day in Chicago then driving would be best. Parking isn't outrageous if you are leaving your car around Wrigleyville all day. Plus public trans isn't so bad unless its 1 hour before the game. I can also tell you what busses and trains to avoid and how to go about traveling like a local to avoid the rush. I live about 5 blocks from Wrigley so I deal with that crap everyday.

We are going to be leaving around 1:30 or 2. I live an hour north of Milwaukee as I stated, so I have to factor that extra hour in there.

Ok 1:30 or 2:00 which means... add an hour 2:30 3 then about 2 hours of travel time.

Hmmmm about 5 o'clock... your going to be in some traffic. Coming into the city isn't as bad as going out during that time so you should be alright but still heavy traffic.

I would suggest getting off at an earlier exit.

The exits go... Lawrence, Montrose, Irving Park then Addison. Dont take the visitor route to Wrigley and take Addison, I'll tell ya right now it sucks. It is the smallest road out of the four. Everybody gets off at Addison and it isn't fun traveling witht he rest of the traffic. The earlier the exit the better. You can always take the early exit then make a right on clark, the traffic coming from the North on Clark isn't so bad, mostly local. I personally wouldn't even take Clark I would go all the way towards the lake and turn right on Marina, or inner Lake Shore Drive then look for a spot around there(after Irving Park, about a couple blocks past Iriving, then its a 15 minute walk to the park[look at a map]; free parking and less traffic. You might get some congestion around the Lake Shore Drive exits, but its infinitely better then going down Addison.

All around Lake Shore Drive and surrounding side streets there is free parking. Look out for meter spots 'cause they only last two hours, obviously avoid them, also look at street sign, white in color with red surrounding the letters and numbers, these tell ya the parking sectors, if you don't find one on the block you can park there. Most ares will have several signs so you won't miss it if you find a spot and it is a reserved parking area.

Paying 20 bucks for parking sucks. Don't do it.

Alright, yeah, I copied the maps. When I mapquested it to Devry it said to take Addison, which you said is not a good idea. I like the idea of going on the LS, but it'd be ideal to have a location to mapquest as not to get lost.

I so have that map memorized.

Make sure you watch for zone parking too, zone parking tickets are a real [expensive] bitch and could result in your car getting towed.
