Carlos Zambrano on the Cubs fans...

Zambrano says Cubs fans only think about themselves by booing him.
Ummmm....
Zambrano check your calender...what month is it? It is September..time to step up.
This is 5 starts in-a-row you have lost.
I was at the game today and I booed Zambrano as did the whole stadium.
Zambrano should have said something like I was pitch better the next time instead of insulting us.
We pay money to watch this team and when we lose 11-2 thanks to a guy that runs a stop sign and gives up 7 runs it is a waste of money.
When I saw Zambrano walking off the field pointing to his head I figured he was saying to us "I know, my bad, I will go out and preform next time" but he thinks he shouldn't be booed?
What a joke
We shouldn't have signed him.
Nice job Jimbo

Also, Does Z realize that New York Yankee fans booed A-Rod last year?
A-Rod is the best player in baseball.

Cubs fans booed becuase he was pitching like crap. Big Z should pitch like the amount of money he is getting paid.

Did he really say all this??
anyways if he did this guy is a big time joke.. i take back everything i said about derrek, Soriano etc etc.. that's just low when you get to saying that if it is true. I've always been a supporter of Big Z.. but as of late he's been a straight D***

Yeah I heard it on AM 670 on my way home from the game.
The guy on the radio was defending Zambrano for some reason. He must be the only guy in town defending him.
Here and at NSBB everyone is on him.

Oh and I forgot to mention.
If Zambrano was in New York or Boston he would have been booed 10 times louder.
A lot of people were actually cheering Zambrano for some reason when he left the field.
Zambrano would be getting it from the New York media if he was up there...just ask A-Rod.

Oh whatever there are a million excuses. This is a bad one.
The money makes people sensitive.
He is trying to live up to the money.
He is now less focused since he got the money.
This is his bad stretch of the season, he will do better towards the end of Sept.
The long season is catching up to him.
The innings in his overall career are catching up to him.
He helped type this long list of excuses and his carpel tundrum is coming back.
He now has arthritis from a violent sneeze.
PICK ONE. Whatever it is...
If Jeter can get booed in New York, Zambrano can deff get booed in Chicago.

SW, come on man. You criticize Hendry for signing Z and I happened to be reading the thread on here where we signed Z and you said "It's about time!" with some nice emoticons. You can't just go back and forth like that.

I remember when Garciaparra got booed when he had a bad game at Fenway...
and as for Carlos Zambrano back off.

Zambrano should have never challenged us.
He should have went into the post game interview and said something like "I will pitch better next time" instead of challenging the fans.
And about the Hendry comment I was joking about that.

Lee seconds Zambrano's view on booing
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs ... 1634.story
Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee came to Carlos Zambrano's defense on Monday, saying Cubs fans should cut Big Z some slack when he has a poor outing.
"I'm not a big fan of the booing at home," Lee said. "Maybe if it's a lack of effort, but 'Z' has been so big for this organization and gives everything he has out there, so I have a hard time with the booing."
The booing started with the game tied 1-1 in the third, when Zambrano blew off third-base coach Mike Quade's stop sign and tried to score from first on Alfonso Soriano's double with no outs. Ryan Theriot followed with an RBI single, but Zambrano's selfish decision cost the Cubs a run.

I remember Lee talking about how the Cub fans were chanting Hesop Choi for the first month he was a Cub. O'well it happens. Its wrong because why in the world would you ever boo the home team. There are countless times I wanna throw my laptop through my television because Aramis didn't run out a fly ball, or a bloop. Then I see him coast into second on line drives to the ivy. Geez that guy frustrates me. In past years he didn't well enough to merit his un-RIOTness but now I guess its something I can turn my head on.
Anyways what I'm trying to say is there are better times to boo, like when stupid drunk Cub fans that hopped on the band wagon in '03 sit in the bleachers and throw stuff onto the field. Ughhhhhhh, do these people even know what Wrigley means to the real Cub fans? or when un-seasoned(best word I can think of) Cub fans come to the park only to get drunk and wouldn't know what inning it was or what the score was if you asked them.
Ok enough bitching, I'm just mad we got clobbered by a team 4 games out, barely in the race; also with key guys injured.

There were Dodger fans sitting near me for today's game and in typical Dodger fashion they came in the 3rd inning and left in the 7th.

Wow that's funny, and they are visitors?
Big Z needs to have a lights out performance next game and he will be as loved as much as ever in Chicago.

If Zambrano doesn't want to hear the booing he should fold up 2 of his $100 dollar bills and stick them in his ears so he doesn't hear us booing.

This is what I'm afraid of.
Look at Dontrelle Willis to see how innings can make a young stud mediocre.
Z's ERA by year:
2004: 2.75
2005: 3.26
2006: 3.41
2007: 4.35

i agree w/ z to the point that i don't like it when fans boo, particularly w/ a slumping hitter.... but z just needs to shut up and pitch well, he controls whether he gets booed or not
