Are the Cardinals Going To Tank?

Post#1 » by IbreakNeckZ101 » Sat Sep 15, 2007 3:05 am

So say if we take 3 out of 4 and we can finally say the Cardinals are finally done.. Do you think they're going to tank against the brewers.. i can definitely see this happening because the cards did this in 04'.

Who cares, the Cubs control their own fate. If the Cardinals are going to tank we need to go out and sweep whoever we are playing (I think the Reds)

They are just playing really bad right now. As long as we keep winning, it doesn't really matter what the Cards do, and Milwaukee is playing bad right now also.

It won't matter if they tank, we'll still lose.

We know the Padres won't tank, and that the Brewers aren't the greatest on the road.

The Brewers play the Padres at home to end the season. They do, however, play a 7 game road stretch against the Astros and Braves.

The Cardinals won't tank because there's no point to tanking in baseball. They're just playing like crap.

I think he thinks they will tank because they hate the Cubs and they don't want us to win the division so they will let you win. He mentioned they tanked back in 2004 against the Astros but the Cardinals had like a 14 game lead at the time and they were resting their players for the playoffs.

Ohhhh, I gotcha now. No, they won't. Teams always seem to flip a switch when they play the Brewers. God I hate my life.

Yeah in baseball you will want to play for respect or maybe even as a spoiler.
