Both the Padres and Braves are in a playoff chase and will not be tanking while playing the Brewers so those are some tough games. We play a bunch of cupcakes to end our season that are going to try and play spoiler.

Bears-I am scared. They didn't look to good today while the Packers look really good.

Reds Series: The key to this series is starting Geovani Soto. The Reds ran all over the Brewers this weekend on Johnny Estrada. Geovani Soto has a great arm. Cubs win this series 2/3.

Pirates Series: The key to this series is winning. The Pirates suck. We should sweep them but knowing the Cubs we will lose 2/3.

Florida Series: A series where the combined crowd will be 7,000 people (all Cub fans) This ballpark will play to our advantage. We don't hit many home runs and this is a huge ballpark so finding gaps will be key in this series. Cubs sweep.

Reds Series Part II: A lot of Cub fans will be here and I am even thinking about heading down there to see a potential clincher. Cubs need to win 2 of 3. Anything less than that is unacceptable.

Those Padres/Braves series are real beasts for the Brewers. Without looking at the standings, I think both series will have fairly significant Wild Card implications, especially for the Braves who aren't catching the Mets for the division lead anytime soon.

I'm really really really thinking about heading down to Cincy for the final series depending on how things shake out.

It is going to be a very nerve racking next 2 weeks.

The only thing that I see in our (brewers) favor is that the 2 series you face the reds it looks like you are going to have to face Harang & arroyo in each series.

As a Brewer fan I am much more worried about the 4 game seires in Atlanta just because we play like complete trash on the road. :nonono:

Being that we are pretty much in a dead heat (even in the loss column) I really think its going to be really tough for the Brewers to pull it off, I think they are going to have to bank on the cubs losing 2 of the 4 series they have left.

Question: If the Brewers & Cubs end with the same record do they have to play a tie break game or do the Cubs advance since they won the head-head?

If the Brewers and Cubs finish tied there would be a 163rd game played to break the tie. The game would be played at Wrigley.

We (Brewers) are awful on the road. We did catch a break that Oswalt will miss his turn (wife having a baby). Our seven road games this week plus Padres at home = big Cubs advantage.

I don't think off days matter much at this point in the season.

The only thing that can help the Brewers with the Cubs' two offdays is if the Brewers win both those games. But my goodness, these next two weeks will be thrilling and terrifying all at once.

Hmm, I've seen this movie before. Cubs look like there cruising to a playoff spot with a nice stretch of bad teams to finish the season.

Didn't like how it ended last time.

Hopefully the remake will be better.

This next week will be huge. If the Brewers can keep pace on the road there will be alot of momentum for their final 7 game homestand.

Btw, at this point Atlanta's wildcard shots arn't much better than their chances of winning the division. 4 back on Philly and 5 1/2 games back on the Padres? Even the most optimistic Braves fans can't be giving their team more than a 10% shot at the postseason.
