This may have been brought up here, I don't know, but I do know there is a thread over on the Brewers board.

Ultimately the Cubs just need to play good ball but take a look at the past few pitchers the Brewers have gone up against.

Jeff Bennett - Pitching for first time in majors since 2004
Juan Gutierrez - 16.1 career innings
Felipe Paulino - First career start
Matt Albers - career 6.04 ERA in 114.2 IP
Matt Belisle - 5.39 ERA in 165 IP this season
Kirk Sarloos - 7.32 ERA in 39.1 IP this season
Tom Shearn - 3.94 ERA in 32 career innings (this season)

Praise the Lord that they go up against Hudson and Smoltz the next two days.

Bennett has 8 K's already tonight so it doesn't look like it matters.
The Cubs control their fate. All we have to do is worry about ourselves.

I am in complete agreement with you, however, it is pretty funny looking at those pitchers.

I think the Brewers do face Hudson and Smoltz.
I think Hudson tomorrow and Smoltz Saturday.

The Brewers should also face Chris Young and Greg Maddux in the Padres series.

that's pretty pathetic and Houston's manager is a tool for starting five rookies last night against the Brewers.

You're playing a team in a very tight pennant race. Oswalt is on leave because his wife is giving birth, you pull Woody Williams from the rotation and then you load the line up with rookies.

Can Houston do anything else to help make things easier for the Brewers? Thank God they won yesterday even though Lidge did his best to lose the game.

Thank God the Braves are going to play their "A" squad.

You have to remember that the Astro manager is Cecil Cooper, former Brewer player Cecil Cooper. Conspiracy theorists unite!
