Not sure how eastvalleytribune.com is but it looks right to me. Zambrano vs Webb would most likely be the game 5 starts if we need to play a game 5.

Game 1 will match a pair of 18-game winners, defending Cy Young winner Brandon Webb (18-10, 3.01) against Cy Young wannabe Carlos Zambrano (18-13, 3.95).

Game 2: Doug Davis (13-12, 4.25) vs. Ted Lilly (15-8, 3.86) on Thursday at Chase Field.

Game 3: Livan Hernandez (11-11, 4.93) vs. Rich Hill (11-8, 3.92) on Saturday at Wrigley Field.

Game 4: Micah Owings (8-8, 4.30) vs. Jason Marquis (12-9, 4.43) on Sunday at Wrigley Field, if necessary.

Jason Marquis is an auto loss. Especially against Owings. Owings might hit 2 HRs off Marquis putrid ass.

Just say no to Jason Marquis.

I would bring back Zambrano for game 4 on 3 days rest, and then have Lilly available for game 5 on normal rest.

Last time we pitched Zambrano on 3 days rest he did horrible. I doubt Lou tries that again.

He wasn't worse than Jason Marquis on >infinite rest.

If I had to pin my hopes on a 3 day rested Z and fully rested Lilly vs. a rested Marquis and a rested Z, I'll take the former of the two.

depends on where they're at in the series... if they're up 2-1, they'll likely pitch Z in game 5 if it gets there... much like wood in '03, but if they're down 2-1, he'll prob. pitch game 4 desperation mode...

Cubs could make this a lot easier by sweeping. :D

aren't the d'backs struggling of late?

I don't think they're struggling, but they aren't super hot either. 5-5 in their last 10 games, lost their last two. I figure their last 2 losses are a wash since they had already shored up the division by that point.

15-11 in September.

Lou set the rotation today.

Zambrano
Lilly
Hill
Zambrano
Lilly

Z going on short rest is worth it to keep Marquis out. Looks like Jason won't be on the roster for the first round.
