Hopefully we have 2 new OFs, at least 2 new RPs, a new backup C (for Soto), and possibly a new SP and SS.

We definitely need more bats. Ones that are clutch, do not strike out constantly in clutch situations, and have high OBP's.

Cuban should buy the Cubs and fire big fattie JH, while taking over as GM.

Seriously? C'mon now. The last guy I want at GM is Cuban. At least bring Steve Stone in.

Didn't Hendry just spend 300 million dollars last winter?

Steve Stone = Traitor

:dontknow:

As far as I know Steve Stone was a Cub and announcer for a long long time. He only had gripe with Dusty not the entire organization. If it is something personal, its with the current owners and that would be resolved with new ownership next year.

I would say the backup will be Blanco because Kendall is basically the poor mans Soto with a noodle arm.

The only change in the outfield might be Pie in CF. I think the cubs are going to wait and see what happens with Colvin and Pie. JJ will probably start at RF.

They will probably pursue a SS or at least get someone to platoon with Riot.

I do think they will add 1 or 2 RP's maybe a closer.

I think Howry might take over the closer role or at least the closer role will have to be won in spring training.

Its kind of a big question mark on adding another SP. Obviously Z, Lilly and Hill have rotation spots. They may elect to add a SP but then the FA core is weak. It might just be a competition between Marshall, Marquis, Prior (probably will be injured again) and maybe long shots like Gallagher.

I will take back about what I said about Glavine. We don't want another soft throwing lefty, do we?

We need RP,RP, and more RP I think A-Rod will leave the Yankees he put to much pressure on himself playing in NYC.
