Cubs Ticket Thread (Brewers tickets on sale now)

Post#1 » by treyZz » Sun Feb 17, 2008 9:06 pm

I'm going to try for opening day; the weekend series against the White Sox; and a Cardinal game or two.

And then the rest I will just buy my tickets off a crackhead or scalper walking around Wrigleyville.

My friends have season tickets and they give me a choice of 4-5 games for cheap so I have that going for me. The tickets are in section 501 but they aren't too bad of seats because they are in row 1 right behind home plate and no poles.
I am probably heading to Tampa for the road series against the Rays since I have a family of Cub fans down there. Plus, I doubt tickets are that hard to get.
I have only been to one Cubs/Cardinals game and that was the day after Darryl Kyle died so it wasn't the same atmosphere as a normal game.

Cubs tickets go on sale at 10:00 AM tomorrow. Figured I would bump this up so we can hear what games you got. I liked it better when they did it on Saturdays like a few years ago.

The main tip is open up as many tabs as you can on Firefox so you have a better chance at landing the first tickets.

Don't know how the schedule will shape up tommorrow, but if any of you are interested I'd open my doors for a hang out while you guys wait for your numbers to be called.

I have PS3(go blu-ray), a ton of computer games, a fridge with beer and a couple big screens.

Also, if you have AIM or Skype and are willing to leave your s/n I'll let you in on a little neighborhood wrigleyville secret on getting tickets.

Its not gauranteed, but its better than wasting a whole day.

When I say its not gaurantted, its not, but I don't want people telling me it didn't work. FYI... it has never failed me. Even for the Boston/Cubs game and even for the Yankees/Cubs game.

Game two. Wood vs. Clemens

That day I walked out of Wrigley thinking Kerry Wood will have a better career than Clemens.

I was kinda right. Kinda. :-?

Ah, that was the best game of the series with Hee Seop Choi going down and Eric Karros ruining Clemens' 300th win bid

Game 3 was great too. I think we got a big lead and the Yankees slowly were coming back and they got men on in the top of the 9th only to lose the game on a pick-off.

Thats a damn fine memory.

Speaking of most games I've attended, I usually just remember who we play and which pitchers were on the mound. I don't know why, but something at Wrigley makes me forget...

All honesty aside, Yes it was a great series. Remember who led off for the Yankees?

Silly me.

Yup it was him and he didn't do so well. From what I remember.

(please no one look at the box scores and tell me I'm wrong.)

The best game I went to was probably that Roger Clemens/Greg Maddux pitching matchup a few years ago. Cool to see 2 300 game winners pitching although the Cubs lost that game.
