Bill Murray in the Cub broadcast booth?

Post#1 » by Howling Mad » Fri Feb 29, 2008 3:15 pm

Hes made it clear to several media sources that he'd like to retire as an actor and go into another type of entertainment...

Calling Cubs games.

He didn't make it clear whether its TV or Radio, but I really don't know how to feel about it.

Bill has always been a Cubs guy, unlike John Cusack(who asked Riensdorf for Whitesox world series tickets), so he is part of the faithful, but it'd be kinda wierd having a ghostbuster in the booth...

Could you imagine that pic with a blown up head and being given away on "Bill Murray, Ghostbusters Day" @ Viagra Park, which resides in Viagraville?

Funny guy, but an absolute jackass.

Can't be worse than Brenly or Carter...get Dan Akroyd to do play-by-play and call it a day. :P

Very strange concept... but could be awesome. I love Bill Murray's dry sense of humor.

Perhaps he can jump into the booth for a dozen games or so, interspersed throughout the year, and everyone could get an idea what it would be like.

I love Bill Murray, one of my favorite actors. As much as I would love to listen to him announce games, I think I'd rather have him make more movies.

Return to Chicago Cubs
