Need our big bats to get on track.

Going back to the playoffs, Soriano/A-Ram/D-Lee are like 2-40. Get it going boys. And switch Fukudome and Soriano. I'm going to say it before every game, but how is Fukudome's amazing, methodical approach not better in the 2 spot than Alfonso hacking away?

I will just respnd with one of these  , when you do.

Sorri's approach was good during his first at bat, he rana full count. After that it was downhill. Back to agressive Sorri, with an 0-2 count to start his second and third at-bats.

C'mon TK you if you really think Sorri is going to, all of a sudden, change his batting approach mentality, your crazy.

He's been stubborn about it ever since he was coming up as a Yankee. Even the Rangers tried to bat him 2 and it didn't work. Then they settled with him leading off and at Washington he did well as a leadoff guy when he was still able to run like hell. He's best suited as a 5 hitter where he can be a run producer, HR hitter, steal bases if you need him to, but least of all no worries about him striking out.

Theriot is fine. If he takes 7+ pitches and strikes out, or grounds out, while keeping his OBP over .375, I'm happy.

He doesn't strike out a lot, but he does have those little bloop grounders, as long as he takes pitches for the big boys to see, its all worth it.

Fukudome being put in the two hole isn't something that was born after his debut, we've wanted it for along time. He'd be perfect there. Having Sorri's power at the two hole is fine, but having down at the 5 hole is better, especially when you have an OBP whiz batting second.

of course im crazy. im a die hard cubs fan. lol

im aware of what you are saying. all im saying is that im sure lou's line up is not set in stone. i think he is checking to see how sori is at the 2 because he will see more fastballs than at the 5.
if the performance of sori and fuku continues like it did yesterday, you HAVE to assume lou will switch it up.
but, its the beginning of the season. lets see how things go.

I bought mine a week ago. Hopefully it doesn't end up in my Ben Wallace and Nomar pile of my dumb jersey impulse buys.

I don't want to see another poor start this season by the Cubs. Get a win tomorrow please. You wasted a GREAT moment yesterday with Fukudome's home run and a loss.

I felt awful today. I kept thinking about how Fukudome's homer was spoiled and everytime I think about it I will remember we ended up losing that game. Let's make up for it and pound the Sewers tomorrow. Soriano is due for a hit sometime.

CSN can go to hell.

Suppan really had his way with us last year. Hopefully that changes today.
