Manny wants 22+ million per year for more than 3 years. Teams are still bargaining with him and that's why no deal has been reached yet. By moving DeRosa and Marquis the Cubs were able to sign Bradley. This shows how restricted the Cubs are budget wise. No way Manny was ever a realistic possibility.
