This needs to be done ASAP. How many runs is he going to cost us this year?

Hoffpauir could outproduce him if they got equal AB's. And cost $14 million less.

And this isn't a reactionary thing. He hasn't hit in a little under a year now.

This roster needs to be shaken up a bit, IMO.
We need an actual short stop. Ronny Cedeno makes that play from his knees. Theriot and his noodle arm need to be moved to a full time utility spot and back up 2nd baseman.
I love what we have seen from Bradley even though he has one hit. He should hit 3rd.

Also, Wieters would sure look nice at 1B.
How nice would it be to split Soto/Wieters time at C/1B to save both their legs throughout the year?
Also, Travis Snider is raking. Why hasn't Wilkins been let go, yet? I believe Colvin was demoted this year, as well. Awesome. Actually, maybe not. It could be due to his arm injury.
No farm system whatsoever. I hope Cashner flies through the system.

Last year Derrek Lee was behind these guys in SLG%.
Jim Edmonds
C. Zambrano
M. Hoffpauir
A. Soriano
A. Ramirez
Mike Fontenot
Geovany Soto
Mark DeRosa
This year he is at .176, the lowest on the team. He should not be hitting 3rd. Ramirez, Bradley, and Soto should be hitting 3-5.
_____________________________
This is better-
Soriano
Fukudome
Ramirez
Bradley
Soto
Fontenot
Lee
Theriot

I'd probably switch Bradley and Ramirez. Bradley's a walk machine I want in front of A-Ram, who will probably lead the team in slugging. Other than that your lineup's perfect.

Please.
Basically what others have said, Bradley needs to be in front of A-Ram, and Lee shouldn't be in the middle of our high OBP guys, it kills us.
Soriano
Fukudome
Bradley
Ramirez
Lee
Fontenot
Soto
Theriot
This is how I have my Show lineup ( I know I know, video game), but yea...
I'm tempted to switch Soto with Lee, but I need some more solid proof, or another year of .280avg & 25hr.
I also had Soto ahead of Mike, but I realized I had more options when I had Fontenot in the 6 hole because of the running element. Gives more options for hit and run, bunting, etc.
Theriot, he can stay where he is, 2, 7, whatever, he can hit. SS, I'd like an upgrade there, preferably more defense than offense.

the USA Today Sports Weekly section alerted me of this stat: back in 2007 Derek Lee hit .392 in April, and he's at .080 so far this year
what a difference two years makes
