A good team on the road. We should be in trouble. Our bats were great last night, they need to get on Weaver early.

Dodgers 18, Cubs 1.

Soriano 0-5 with 5 K's

Cubs down 9-1 in the 9th when Kevin "sling blade" Gregg gives up 9 straight homers.
FIRE THE JOHN "THE SNAKE" PAXSON, FOR GARMAN, AND FRED HOIBERGER.

i'm pretty sure our season ends with this series... actually i guarantee our season ends with this series.. we need to start thinking about next year.. and a complete retooling of this organization once the Ricketts family takes over.. and i mean everyone gets fired upstairs.

Quoted for the off chance the Cubs make the playoffs and win the World Series.

The Dodgers haven't been playing well of late and we have some favorable pitching matchups in this series. I bet we split or take 3 of 4.

Well so much for the Dodgers being in that slump. The Cubs are the perfect recipe to get out of it.

So much for the Padres being worldbeaters. 4-0 Cardinals on a Brendan Ryan grand slam

Kosuke homers! 1-1.
Of course a guy who hits 5 homers his entire career is going to hit a grand slam.

Baker doubles. Baker has really become one of our best hitters. If somehow we get into the playoffs, that trade could look a lot better.

Why do teams walk Koyie Hill in front of the pitcher? I'd rather face Gorzo than Koyie Hill. Plus, if/when you get Koyie to strike out looking, the pitcher leads off the next inning.

How has Gorzo been bad so far? we still have seven innings left. People on this forum thought Dempster was bad two days ago, so I guess we have tremendous standards for pitchers.

Jeff Weaver has nothing tonight. Hopefully we keep hitting.
