Where is the value? We will get nothing back and have to pay at least half of his salary if not more. For 2 years we are better keeping him around (at least till the next trade deadline).

his value will go up by the end of the season. his bat is starting to come around. i have no doubt that he will come back to form, but he is just not a good fit here. the cubs will find a taker for his talent.
