I don't care about all that loyalty BS. It's professional sports not a gang. That being said, DeMar is too high a price to pay for a player that we have no info on in regards to his injury or if he'll stick around. And it's most likely not just DeMar, it's DeMar plus.

Raptors made it known DD was available as soon as the season ended and not one viable rumour popped up with his name in it. Demar can't play defense and can't shoot 3s, dude isn't the prototypical player in 2018. If you're not going to get much for him you might aswell trade him for a taste of a superstar

What assets? Demar is a toxic contract at this point. You can tell what his true value is around the league when nobody is shocked that raptors supposedly offered him for a rental of kawhi. If you think Vince left for essentially nothing derozan will probably net us something close.
It's not like teams are rushing in with offers now that they know demar is on the table.

Mixed feelings. Happy we swung for the fences but really sad that demar is gone. He was my favorite guy in the history of our franchise

The Spurs and one of the best basketball minds of all-time just traded for him so he must have some value
as much slack as he gets he's a multi time All-Star and was all NBA 2nd team this year teams would value him
in the right deal. Also he's locked up for a few more years there was no need to rush a trade when we could
possibly win the East with him.
