And Lou Will
I think Knicks have more collective vet and playoff experience than the Hawks between Rose, Taj, Noel and I want to say Bullock and Burks. But we got guys who have been in the league for quite some time even Randle who might be in his first playoffs has been in the league a long time and we aren't playing some team that's been together for a long time or that has much collective playoff experience so the excuse doesn't really hold much weight here.
Its really about matchups and the contrast in roster and team style of play.
i also think a lot falls on thibs for being unwilling to make proper adjustments during the regular season, so this team could've been ready for the PO with the better lineup (the one without payton). the lack of PO experience is showing with
randle, so hopefully he'll learn from this.
but at the end of the day, this team had low expectations and don't have a lot of experience playing together, so i'm happy they've accomplished what they have.
as long as they take the learning experience of this season, and continue to grow, this franchise might finally be heading in the right direction.
I don't see any adjustment made that would have made this team better. They overachieved as is, the playoffs just shined light on it. But the team just isn't constructed in a way where expectations should be all that high.
removing elfrid earlier would've made going up against the hawks a lot better.
as i said, expectations were low, so we should be happy, overall, with what we've seen.
but an adjustment earlier would've helped, especially now
