Doncic...............Dinwiddie.......Ntilikina
Bullock..............Hardaway........Hardy
Finney Smith.......Green
Wood................Bertans
Kleber...............Powell
I think it depends on who Mavericks are going to be able to sign. I think they need additions at two out of these three positions, problem is they only have TPMLE to do it, so they have to hit on a minimum guy:
Guard (G. Harris, Dragic, Payton, Monk, Coffey, Oladipo, F. Jackson, L. Walker, Schroeder)
Wing / Forward (B. Brown, C. Boucher, O. Porter, J. Lamb, T. Young, McLemore, House)
Center (Hartenstein, J. Smith, Claxton / Whiteside, Drummond, Dieng...)
Move Bullock to SF and he can play there like he did in the PO's. Green is still a bit of a ? but I think he can make the jump to role player if he is given minutes and develops. A whole regular season doing that may be a good thing so when DFS is used at PF he can play some at SF.
I like the new kid Bingham and can see the mavs using him at center with his ability to hit 3's and get blocks as a 7' 2 way player. He showed he could do it in college against some of the best teams and he produced good numbers. He needs to bulk up more and become more muscular but he looks pretty stout if you ask me.
Hartenstein is a good veteran presence to add on with his age being younger. He can provide a bigger body to bang against the bigger centers in the league which exist in Utah NOP, Phil, Den, and the rookies that came with this draft that we missed out on who could be better than rookies usually are.
Kleeber can definitely play PF and probably help Wood and Bingham out when they face centers that are bigger. Powell can as well. Bertans not so much but he is instant offense off the bench with 3 pointers. Powell showed he can develop a 3 pointer if he focuses on that so I am ok with him at PF but not so much at the 5.
I think you keep Bullock with the wings and that gives you DFS and Bullock at the 3 with green when DFS has to play at the 4 some.
SG you need THJ back but now we have Hardy to develop as well. Good thing we got a steal with Hardy and he dropped so far in the draft we might really be hurt bad by Brunsons departure if that had happened. Hardy can play PG is what some of you are stating I have yet to ascertain that as being true but if you say so fine. Maybe Dinwiddie can play SG since he is 6'5" as well so we are 3 deep here and that is good because we all know that Luka is playing most of the minutes at PG.
Remaining minutes behind Luka at PG should be fine with a combination of guys like Dinwiddie, Frank, Hardy and if we sign Dragic. Unfortunately that means you keep Pinson on the 2 way instead of getting him up on the team to be a regular bench player.
