What does triggering the hard cap actually do though
So let's say that when the hard cap was triggered and the Heat were only 5 mil beneath the hard cap, it means that even with bird rights and exceptions the Heat cannot spend more than that 5 mil on filling out the roster. And there are place holder salaries in place for up to 14 players at the rookie min and that counts against the hard cap.
So what happens if you do the deal after you you use all your bird rights and exceptions?
