I'm with Walker on LOH on Miles...if he pleads guilty to this felony charge, Miles's time in Charlotte is done. What a huge blow for us.

Court isn't til July 21, so basically we are stuck in limbo for weeks

I'd keep the QO open and not make another offer until it's sorted out. Retain the ability to flip or keep him as an expiring with bird rights

We're not going to have enough information anytime soon, so that would be my default strategy.

Without knowing anything about the case I bet this in an overcharge will get reduced to a misdemeanor.

Isn't that the default on a first-time offender with a lot of resources? That being said we still haven't seen how bad the abuse was...

His wife posted on Instagram. I am not going to post those pictures here, they’re already circulating on social media. She has a diagnosis of strangulation, fractured nose, concussion, and broken rib.

I really don’t want to hear anymore. He should never play for this team again. I don’t know where you go from here, but he shouldn’t ever return to the building.

So here is the info from the wife. Pretty awful reading and might be upsetting so don't unspoil if you don't want to see but it's being shared through NBA twitter.

Importantly, she's sharing this information with purpose to raise awareness for her and her family but it also seems like she wants the truth out so Miles can get help - which he clearly doesn't get from the circle of "friends" he has.

First of all, **** Miles, **** all abusers, and **** anyone that enabled his behavior if this was an ongoing thing. I hope his wife and kids eventually recover from this.

On the basketball front, H O L Y H E L L... Being a Hornets fan is just one kick to the groin after another with occasional rays of hope followed by increasingly stronger kicks to the groin.

I'm still reeling from this whole situation. Dudes jersey is waiting in my cart on either fanatics or the Hornets store and I was waiting for him to re-sign before I hit purchase. Out of every scenario that jeopardized his return, this was the last thing I expected. Hoped to watch him and LaMelo bring this team where it hasn't been in 20+ years. And now I'm wishing jail time and a loooooong break from the league on his stupid abusive ass. This whole situation is devastating as a fan.
