48 mins of solid PG play. When did this last happen? 12-13 season?

I haven’t seen Randle in one concrete rumor in years. The front office treating him like Tim Duncan is sad.

Jalen is the new favorite son of the franchise. Randle is going to get a rude awakening if he still thinks he runs the offense.

Make no mistake this is still RJ's team. Now it's just RJ and Brunson.

I just want to see a real PG for once in the new millennium!! That should help improve the team. Rose off the bench was what propelled this team to the playoffs. We had a tight bench that helped us win a lot of games that year. Dug us out of a lot of holes.

We will never tank so, we need to get better somehow.

My # 1 pet peeve with this franchise may be resolved finally. I give this FO some points for finally making PG their priority. It’s been freaking exasperating waiting this long for something like this to happen. It is not possible to underestimate the importance of having a viable PG. We probably just got 50% better if he’s the real deal and runs this club like a boss. If Burner is really good it mitigates Thibs to a large extent, because a good PG > most coaches

You fell off real quick. Went from talking about championship aspirations and contending to toasting for Jalen Brunson and mediocrity

You out here pulling Green Arrow stunts

I'm still on the championship wave, I just understand waiting on superstars with nothing but a hope and a dream isn't how this works.

You mentioned Simons, he was RFA, you want Donovan Mitchell, he's not on the market, you wanted Ivey, the Pistons/Kings weren't trading the picks. Every option you've mentioned wasn't obtainable. We could still end up in the lottery with this move, which is perfectly fine, at least we'll have a PG so we don't have to pray 1 will fall to us and they don't.

One and done play-in tournament "good"?

Or second-round of the playoffs "good"?

Dunno. A lot will depend on IQ and RJ’s progress, Rose’s health and I think the sleeper in the mix could be Grimes if his injury was not too bad. But if all them are better and Brunson unifies the team and unlocks Obi and keeps Randle on track then we’ll be a playoff team for sure

I don’t think scoring will be a problem. Our defense could be uneven though

Need to see if Cam is a better option at the 3 and move RJ back to the 2.

Unlocking Obi will be huge

A legit PG could easily have Obi averaging 18-20 ppg on 55%+ efficiency

The hope is RJ at the 2, Cam at the 3, roll with that for the season and see how it works.

I keep forgetting about Cam. We’ll have to see if he gets a shot or not

Same with Obi. Thibs is a clown and if Randle gets off to a hot start he will bury Obi again probably

Interesting. He notes the 2 hardest guys he’s guarded so far are Mitchell and Brunson. Maybe this backcourt could work after all

Respected by young players in the league. I love it!

Woj tweet. Not official until the 6th. Still time to become a S&T as well. I can't tell you how much I want one of Randle/Evan added to this deal. The Mavs need a TPE so...they can take one of those guys too get one. Evan makes more sense I guess.

We’ve got a backup quality PG on a max deal. The fact that you just admitted that we spent 100 mil on this one player with possibility of still being a lotto bound team tells me I’ve got nothing to celebrate here. You go party your butt off though

I will tell you this, I like Brunson way more than the other signings especially the Randle and Fournier signings. I’ll easily root for him to succeed but expectations aren’t going to be low. They treating him like a superstar well now it’s time to live up to the hype. Let’s see what he’s really made of
DENVER NUGGETS
Jamal Murray/Ty Jerome/Dante Exum
Zach Lavine/Ochai Agbaji/Corey Kispert
Aaron Gordon/Josh Okogie
Jakob Poeltl/Moussa Diabate/Karlo Matkovic
Ivica Zubac/Nick Richards/Oscar Tshiebwe
