I don’t think they are as needed as before. Legit it’s like the running back position in the NFL. If Ayton was key to a championship push. They would more than likely try to keep him and Booker together. No accident they want to pair Booker with another scoring wing. Just my take though. Embiid is an amazing big and it hasn’t got the job done with butler Tobias etc

While it may be true that the old style back to the basket big men aren't as needed anymore until you update your understanding of what the skill set of the new breed of big man involves you are going to have this argument a million times on the internet and be wrong doing so.

Look at all the guys over 6-10 coming into the league so skilled in ball handling, shooting and perimeter oriented. If you cannot admit this you are being obstinate or ignorant, either way it's just the way it is. It's that simple.

I am a keep it simple since you’re obnoxious about it. In a guard and wing league it would be foolish to commit most of your cap to your power forward and center position. As you said more player are coming in that can replace them. Suns aren’t worried about replacing ayton. We covet him because we are stupid desperate to get something out of this lackluster offseason

They are worried about replacing Ayton regardless of the media spin they are putting on it, that's why they tendered a qualifying offer, will match to preserve his value and trying to get something back for him.

You are just as obnoxious about your opinion...go away now, your convo is useless.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

On the other hand, the 76'ers would be nervous about replacing Embid and Minnesota without KAT would be nothing. Just sayin' Not to mention Denver without Jokic. Or Utah without Gobert.

When they win a finals championship. Especially if they go back to back. I will give it more weight. I see what you’re saying though

If it’s just Brunson & Hartenstein then I’m unmoved. Y’all can spin this schit as some monumental offseason moves if you want to. It’s lateral if you ask me.

This is a FACT. Brunson is a guy you sign to complement your top guns, the problem is we don't have any top guns. This FO is trying to build a team without having a center piece.

Anyone else find it odd that Mitch has not been announced yet? I realize it’s a deal that won’t be done until after Brunson and Hartenstein are finalized and we are over the cap - but we can still get an announcement on a deal now?

Apparently you did get butt hurt calling someone obnoxious for just expressing their own opinion. You seem to be locking in on some random phrase 'guard's league' and creating a dogmatic doctrine based around it that is just your opinion, not some immutable truth.

The Celtics got to the finals with very little guard contribution outside of Smart and White. They are swing forward and small ball big oriented so just open your mind to the reality that perimeter players are getting taller and longer, they are forwards and centers, too.

You're like an angry ex on the pad
Let it go lol
we disagree, its okay to disagree
Putting all your cap into your Power forward / center position...
in a guard and wing league.
Isn't a bright move to me
When power forwards / Centers consistently carry their teams to and thru championships.
I will change my mind.

Here is what I foresee as is (and this is me being conservative):

Robinson 30 minutes
Randle 36 minutes
RJ 38 minutes
Fournier 29 minutes
Brunson 37 minutes

Hard to see much playing time for the bench except Quickley and/or Grimes
The OG Greek Freak

So, what should the front office do... nothing????

We had a strong need for a starting PG. We got one.

The fact that there’s more Fournier trade smoke than Randle honestly makes me so angry.

Dude is a toxic cancer to the team. Would have been perfect to ship in a Brunson S&T.

Fournier will still have value at the deadline and will play his role in the meantime.

To me this off-season will be a failure if Randle is on the team come opening night regardless of any moves.

It can't be announced until the end. Otherwise, he could end up costing us cap space.
