Was just thinking, with the additions of Dedmond and Dipo's new salary, That is an extra 15 Million that can be packaged and traded out in December. If you package those two with Duncan Robinson, That is a max contract player we can go after at that time. Imagining a scenario of a 3 team mega trade between Brooklyn, Utah and Miami. Brooklyn gets Gobert and Duncan, Miami gets KD and Mitchell and Utah gets Tyler and Ben Simmons. Dipo and Dedmon goes to whoever will absorb them. and as many picks and expiring contracts that can be gathered to start their rebuild. A lot can change by December but interesting nonetheless.

not saying KD isn't spineless but there is a degree to sinking ships

KD's biggest mistake was leaving OKC for Golden State, had he moved on to any other team I think he's looked at much differently.

I have to believe the biggest reason for him leaving is that he just didn't want to play with Westbrook anymore because that offseason OKC was really set up to upgrade greatly. OKC was prepared to move Ibaka to free up the PF position to sign Horford(who pivoted after KD left and signed with Boston) and they were adding Oladipo (2 way SG to upgrade over Robertson, Oladipo wasn't a scorer at that point) and Sabonis (to develop behind Horford). So to me KD is just jumping ship with as much smoke as their is for a Kyrie for expiring Westbrook and assets move.

I think KD would have gotten a ring in OKC had he stayed and he would have been able to move on after that and had his respect and was happy but he didn't. Westbrook, Oladipo, KD, Horford, Adams with Sabonis on the bench is a championship level squad.

I personally think KD would want to stay in Brooklyn but Brooklyn has to try to get some value out of Kyrie for the future and sadly it's probably going to be for Westbrook + assets from LA.

I doubt it because Sam Presti was too stubborn to replace Scott Brooks. OKC should have been a dynasty had they kept Harden and gotten an elite coach. And even without Harden, had they got a coach who could run an offense and keep Westbrook on a leash they could have won. But not with Scott Brooks, he was the Mark Jackson of OKC.

I just like the makeup of that team. We'd have to work on Yurt's and Mitchell's defense, but Bam could roam if they're even remotely capable, and our offense would be better. I'd also really like our depth.

My hope is Miami will be able to get Mitchell, Rudy Gay, and either Conley or Bogdanovic -- preferably Bogdanovic -- for Lowry, Herro, and Robinson.

C Bam - Dedmon - Yurt
F Bogdanovic - Gay
F Butler - Martin
G Mitchell - Strus
G Oladipo - Vincent

Agree, but if you traded out Bam to Utah i could happen now:

Utah: Bam, Tyler, Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, Kyle Lowry
Miami, KD, Mitchell
Brooklyn: Gobert, Duncan

Where's our insiders?

The private jet travel logs for some of these players would in KinD be helpful in pinpointing exactly what will be happening moving forward.

I don't blame KD for not wanting to play with Westbrook after what LA had to go through last szn  don't think WB is in plan for any contending teams.. he's some kind of special floor raiser for meddling irrelevant team mystical being now. I'm sure Nets will unload him in some way should they get him most likely buyout after they trade both KD and Kyrie.
