4 mill is third stringer money

His situation screams expiring + pick for a low/rookie contract player no longer in their current team's plans. Rui, PJ Washington, Roby, Bazley or K.Williams. I need to go through the contracts to see who else may be available for cheap during the season so a team doesn't just let the player go for nothing at the end of the season.
Not saying he a trade chip. Everyone a trade chip. But to suggest 4 mill is not third string salary. Homey tripping

With

Lowry
Herro
Butler
KD
???

All we need is a serviceable big who can play defense

Now obviously I’d rather have mitchell but that just isn’t realistic man

On their rookie/1st contract it's a way different then if that's what they're paid after being in the league for a while. Didn't Strus just start for Miami in the playoffs, wasn't Robinson staring for Miami the previous 2 seasons? Also, didn't Miami's starting PF 2 seasons ago (Ariza) make the minimum the next year in FA?

Bam cannot be traded to the Nets correct? Are we talking about just trading Bam to some random place? :dontknow:

Bam can be traded to the Nets, as long as Simmons in not on the Nets. So either we take Simmons or help facilitate him to another team.

Utah will probably blow it up but on their terms, they can wait on Mitchell to get the best deal possible but Golbert is out one way or another. Remember we are not the only team that wants Mitchell, Knicks have the picks to make it happen, and Knicks gonna Knick even after getting Brunson. So do we go all in on Mitchell and lose out on KD, and that's assuming Danny Ainge even likes our offer.

If you where a betting man, who's unprotected daft picks would you want, Miami or NY a few years down the road.

We could’ve very easily just gave him the minimum. He won’t be 3rd string

Heat should sign Rex. He’s agile and motivated.

I don't buy it but he was the only analyst after Kyrie opted in to say that there was a chance Kyrie to LA could still happen. Maybe he knew more then about Nets situation then he let know. And maybe he knows more now on Jazz than he can report

That was annoying to watch. Also when Danny made those trades those guys were old and out of their primes by a mile. These guys are young and in their prime still currently

Mitchell on the move?

I'd offer Herro + Duncan + Yurt + 2 picks + swaps

Thats not going to be enough picks for Danny Ainge. He'd want multiple 1st rounders and multiple swaps kinda like the Davis deal. I don't think he'd care for Herro. You would need to find a 3rd team that would take Herro to send extra picks to Jazz. And if we get to a bidding war with a team like NO, we'd probably loose

Didn’t Danny Ainge fully intend to draft Herro if Miami hadn’t?

Herro took the most shots on the team last season and had the highest usage. He shouldn’t have but he did. He’s saying if Herro isn’t getting the same amount of shots and usage hes not going to be very effective for us because he’s a terrible defender and average playmaker. I agree

He’s definitely coming back in his backup role. Yurt is either traded or starts by some miracle. My bet is he’s probably involved in like 3 different packets and we are just waiting on the Durant and Irvin dominoes to fall.

Yes, I've heard it in podcasts and found it here...

On NBA draft night last year there was a collective moan among the Boston Celtics brass right about the time the Miami Heat used the No. 13 pick to select Tyler Herro.

The Celtics were very much enamored with the 20-year-old leading up to last June’s draft.
