Great shooter obviously but he is also a very low turnover guy and sneakily draws a lot of foul too so he is very efficient.

I don't know if we'll see it in Boston this year because the Celtics want Horford and Timelord out on the floor but he can play as a small ball 5 for short stretches (say when the stars keep dribbling into three people and you want to open up those driving lanes). If I remember correctly, he had some success in that role during the Clippers/Warriors series in 2019.

So Gallo is purely a stretch big at this point in his career, correct?

Guys we got a lot of lady Celtic fans (and otherwise not attracted to females) on this board.

Let's leave the simping to OnlyFans lol.

Gallo seems like a really strange fit for this team. I'm not sure I like the idea of him.

I love that he's a great shooter but his speed and agility at this point is rivaling Kendrick Perkins on the court and his defense is some of the **** worst you'll find.

It doesn't seem worth it to put a clear weakness to expose our defense just for a guy who can hit some 3s. Not for our full MLE at least.

I would have liked to see the money spent elsewhere, or at least someone who can play passable defense so we can actually play him and hit some 3s.

I hope to see us snag one of those Centers available too. I think that's the last piece as we still need more insurance for Rob and Horford at 36 and now Gallo's injured ass.

If we got him for the vet min then great, but as our big MLE ring chasing target... eh.

Cmon. Just stop.

Just cuz you aren't attracted to females you don't have to be offended by everything. If one of these lady Celtic fans or you were to post a pic of a player talking about how hot he is it wouldn't send me or any normal person into a meltdown. Get a grip man.

Lol, talking about somebody simping. But scared of a woman in a bikini.

He’s an amazing teammate and locker room guy. He’s one of those guys I don’t think casuals appreciate enough. He’s no longer a borderline star, but as a 4th or 5th option on a contender, he’s very capable of putting up 15/7 type numbers.

He can’t guard 3’s really due to foot speed, but he’s a really underrated post, man defender guarding 4s and 5s. He’s also a very good passer, good court vision despite not having big assist numbers. He will make the right play 90% of the time. He can be streaky with his shot, but at least he does other things.

My favorite memories of Gallo though on the Clips were the fun and easy going energy he brings to a locker room. He really loves the game, and is a student of the game. He’s also a hot head though, and WILL NOT hesitate to confront a player roughing up his teammates.

He’s not afraid of big moments. He’s passed his prime but if you have expectations of a really solid 5th best player type on your team, you’ll love him.

I wouldn't necessarily read too much into that particular series. The Clippers/Warriors thing was mostly because LA knew they had no shot at getting stops against the Curry/KD Warriors and since their big men options were very meh (Harrell and a young Zubac), they said f*** let's just stretch the floor to the max and if enough threes fall things might get interesting. It's just a nice curveball to have at Ime's disposal.

That being said, you don't want Gallo chasing guys on the perimeter at this point in his career. I'm hoping that with the amount of preswitching the Celtics do, they'll be able to keep him out of most unfavorable matchups and against second units they should have plenty of spots to hide him.

Gallo will be great backing up Horf.
Good pick up. Gives what Theis couldn't.

Need one more big to protect the rim and backup Rob.

I've been advocating for Grant moving to the 3, this brings that vision closer to reality.

Okay be my guest.

Start posting NBA players in thongs doing a look back look in random threads.

There are gonna be games where he absolutely dominates with his ability to swing the ball & knock down shots. This is the most talented team he's ever been apart of. Welcome, Gallo.
