That's not his job....

Its like saying Pat is so incompetent, the only way we can get players is if they force their way here. That's not how it works and you are really underselling Pat here. Sure he makes many mistakes like Lowry and Duncan but he also gets many things right. Its Pats job to make trades to make us a better team. That's Pat's job. That's not anyone else job.

You’re reading what I said and trying to create your own narrative. No, it isn’t “Pat’s job” to force another team to make a trade. Its his job to make the offers. And in today’s player centric league they have to declare their intentions to get to where they want to be. See: every star that has been traded over the last 5 years

Such a slow start to FA. Need BKN to sort their chit out so we can get on with it.

the heats goal is to win a title, not conference finals. thats the expectation of the organization, not just mines. well just have to agree to disasgree and leave it there.

“I don’t think it was a waste of a year,” Riley said. “I’ve had that feeling myself as a coach when you’ve done as much as you can do. It was championship or bust for Kyle. He’s very, very disappointed in the fact we couldn’t get to the Finals and winning.”

That was Riley at the end of season press conference. Winning a championship is a goal but not an expectation. Riley and Spo have too much respect for the game and competition to treat it as an expectation. It’s about competing to win. Not being entitled to win.

what does that even mean??

If I’m BKN I wouldn’t do a damn thing and force these guys to play or sacrifice the money. I don’t feel BKN did anything wrong to these dudes. I am not sure why they feel so compelled to trade them.

I’d do it out of spite at this point. I got KD under contract for 4 more years best believe he’s staying under contract for 4 more years and if he doesn’t want to play ball then I’m willing to live with it.

You don’t simply replace KD with draft picks and promises of the future, that’s a ship I’d go down on if I’m the BKN front office

the celtics, the lakers, the bulls, the pistons, santonio, the rockets,GS and miami all had expectations of championship in their eras

if you got top talent you are expected to win it all

i know what are you saying but having a disgruntled player may poison the well for your team and your fans because the player will underperform because he's not happy with the team environment despite the heavy pay

i do really get your point though

I said once I'll say it again. BKN still hasn't hit the "denial" stage yet. All this will carry on into the regular season, because at some point Brook is gonna convince themselves that Durant might change his mind. We could offer Butler,Bam, Herro, and 3 FRps and Brook still wouldn't accept our trade. Dude is locked in for 4yrs, the Nets are gonna call his bluff.

Lowry for Kyrie doesn’t even work straight up, we’d have to find someone to take Duncan Robinson
