Teams don’t trade guys they just took top 10 for players like Randle. It would be a historically absurd move for PDX

Didn't Boston include Jeff Green in a package for Ray Allen, or Twolves use Markannen to get Jimmy Butler?
But yeah, it's quite laughable to compare those two guys with Randle.

The other example might be Kawhi getting traded for George Hill. And that was a really uh-oh move for Pacers.

But didnt all those moves happen on draft night? I am saying that once a guy is drafted and signed its super rare they are traded the summer of their rookie season.

I could see Bledsoe + Winslow for Randle if the Knicks were truly desperate to dump Randle but its
far more likely Portland just waives Bledsoe

I'd equate it to a trade like Wiggins (#1) for KLove that happened 2 months after the draft.

I don't know how long Dame can keep going without real help. Simons, Grant & Randle is about as good as it gets and isn't that bad.

I would take Randle and a few firsts in a heartbeat. Grant and Randle would make us competitive for the WCF.

This is assuming we can’t land KD. I’m so sick and tired of the Olshey half youth, half win now, not going all in BS.

Randle and Grant would give us 2 huge 6’8 forwards that can score from anywhere on the court and contrary to belief Randle can defend if he’s engaged.

Dame/Payton
Hart/ Simons
Grant/ Nas
Randle/ Winslow
Nurk/ Eubanks

That’s a contender and I want to win now. idgaf how good Sharpe could be in 3 years after Dame’s prime is in the trash. The idea we’re somehow going to be set up better to win then with Simons and Sharpe is NUTS. We got to the wcf finals with Harkless, Aminu, as our forwards before. Grant and Randle would be like them but on pcp.

Remember though how many changes in the western conference have or will have happened.

The west has the NBA champion GSW, Memphis and all the other teams previously mentioned in an earlier
thread. If you expect the addition of Grant, Randle and a return of Dame to make the WCF, that's likely a
bridge too far unless Randle is the starting center when Nurk invariably gets hurt.

It's going to take of effort for team chemistry to be achieved with so many ball dominant players on the roster.
I really don't mind Randle on the roster but have realistic expectations. There is a reason why the team has
hedged its bets for Simons/Sharpe are the future for the franchise. Team really needs another lottery level
talent from the talent rich 2023 draft that is simply loaded with SF types. Let Dame go where he must go to
a real contender for the Jazz, Spurs, Thunder and Rockets will be the powers in the west, and it will be
sooner than you think if one of them lands Victor.

Can’t do that, we’re hardcapped.

Well according to Shams, Portland has decided to release Bledsoe ahead of the July 10 deadline.

Portland in the the time before GP2, likely found no deal that would yield any worthwhile asset with
the Bledsoe contract and decided to sign GP2 and release Bledsoe. Let's see if they stretch Bledsoe,
for there still moves they can make if they can get under (and stay under) the tax line.
