I love how close this Cavs team is. They're a bunch of nerds.

Agbaji is going to fit in that lineup perfectly.

They definitely have a good culture going just like the Grizzlies. Bunch of exciting young teams coming up in the east.

I think he'll make a lot of teams regret not picking him in the draft.
Did anything ever surface explaining why teams went in a different direction?

Bad decision making, plenty of turnovers, inefficient scoring... all legitimate concerns.
But to Hardy's credit he did seem to improve by the year's end. I think he was given an outsize role for his g-league team. In a smaller role, he would've looked better.

I'm pretty sure the combination of aggressive shot taker and awful efficiency was what did it. Plus bad TOs.

Plenty of guys in the G league that are like him. Star mentality with a 10c finish.
If he can improve efficiency then he's got a chance to be great. So it was still worth picking him in the draft.

And his defensive awareness needs to improve by several orders before he'll see playing time in the NBA.

Simonovic should have a place in the league. Good size and good fundamentals

That’s supposedly Billy from Stranger Things. The Cavaliers selected him with the 56th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Yeah he looked stronger than i remember him from last season. He needs to keep adding the strength, especially to his lower body and core.

When did you change your name? and whats the story behind the name? did you lose a bet lol?

I was surprised by his body in his rookie season (in a positive way), but that wasn't saying much at the time since draft footage of him he looked like he was still going through puberty. But he was still mostly all about being crafty and tricky in his rookie season. Now he looks like he's going to be able to add some physicality in his game and beast some matchups inside. This is huge for him imo, since the shot is still looking janky. The ability to attack smaller guards will make him more of a problem in OKC's lineups. Before it might have been tempting to stash a weak defender on Giddey, but that's not looking like the move anymore.

lol. changed it a few months ago I think? I'd been using jamaalstar on basketball forums since I was like 16 I think so just wanted to change it up. jokes about Jamaal Magloire don't hit the same as they used to. cupcakesnake is I guess making fun of really low-level basketball discourse and how annoying/silly it is when fans get caught up always judging players perceived moral fibre instead of their skill sets. i blog under that name every now and then.

Yeah he's got the strong legs like Luka and Bron. He had the build as a rookie but getting stronger means he really can start putting people on his hip more like them. I think seeing that last year made me realise his ceiling is a lot higher than others might think.

I was embarrassingly low on him in the draft (I had him 15th). Did not see him developing strength and just saw a weird awkward mover with the jump shot of a 12-year-old. Sometimes that core strength can be hard to project I guess. I don't think anyone say it with Luka either. We all knew he was going to be a crazy skilled player, but I don't remember anyone talking about him casually bodying NBA players to his hearts content.

Travers looks like a legit NBA player. Defense and playmaking are really impressing me.
