It's probably for the best. The market for both players is trash, and frankly it's their own fault.
Trust me when i say this, you're probably better off keeping your young players and picks. Durant is a toxic presence and he would have no doubt upended everything Monty Williams has built with your club.
They need to pull this trade. CP will fall of the cliff this year or next. They got no time waste.
They missed on Luka and Trea. Booker and rest of them pieces not enough to contend for the PO spot, let alone chip.
Thats why he's here to begin with. He knows better whats up.
Yeah I agree.
I've said many times if I'm a Pelicans or Raptors fans I probably don't want to do it.
Phoenix is different because they seem to have reached their ceiling and CP3 is getting old.
Very possible Suns fall off a cliff and Booker demands a trade somewhere else. Suns need KD.
But I just don't see it as a worthwhile trade for us.
I wouldn't take NOP from trading block for several reasons like:
1. Look up Benson family and what they known for when it comes to Saints.
2. Ingram is happy right now as a 24yo. Later he will want to compete. NOP is not attractive destination and Benson family is cheap. He wont stay there long term. Lengdon knows that, he also knows that he got some time to gamble. PHX being used as leverage. He wont bid against himself, he needs assurances KD will stay.
3. Zion is a wild card.

Enjoying? It’s more and more obvious, this is an ultimatum. I don’t see how that’s enjoying anything. I’m honestly getting tired of watching all of you try to convince yourselves that KD and Kyrie deserve 100% blame for wanting equal years on a deal together. That’s asinine and foolish. We also should be mindful, we asked for that when we signed KD to 4 years.
Finding stupid packages for picks and players doesn’t change the fact, we signed up for it and decided to believe in our “culture” that hasn’t won us anything either.
This looks more and more like a complete **** show from Marks and Tsai. I could care less about the Kyrie drama. The fact, KD made his decision to want Kyrie to have the same length of years as him, isn’t much to ask for. It’s honesty logical. It shows his loyalty to us isn’t as solid as we thought, but that’s also on Marks and Tsai.
Mr. “We don’t sign anybody unless they are culture fits” has passed on good players for “culture fit” and he better find some to replace KD because it looks like he isn’t that interested in leaving. Marks better be man up and be able to rebuild properly because this isn’t looking good.

From a trade standpoint, KD publicly walking back the trade demand might give the Nets the extra leverage needed to find a suitable trade. I would hope that Marks continues to field calls, even if Kyrie and KD return.

Marks better get on the phone with Pop and RC Buford and do a long weekend session of advice.
It’s looking more and more like the Nets don’t know what the **** they are doing right now. We honestly are not in any position to simply trade KD, if there’s chances to work it out for a year or more.
The idea they are going to get a historic haul bigger than Boston for Pierce/KG or a direct swap for a superstar is starting to look and feel more delusional as the summer continues.
We destroy any chance to run it back without making a proper decision because I’m not getting the impression, KD is 100% asking out. As everyone said, it’s based on the Kyrie-Nets relationship and I certainly hope Marks isn’t an egomaniac to put this franchise in another pick swap hellhole under the “belief” we can draft accurately again...in 2027 when he probably won’t even be here at this rate. That would be the worst mistake ever.
1. Run it back.
2. Re-negotiate with Kyrie’s camp.
3. Re-negotiate with KD’s camp.
4. If all above fails, continue to conduct and take,
make offers.
Even the Spurs didn’t just expect a haul for Kawhi arrogantly as we’re doing it. What we’re doing is arrogant and half of the ones here now pushing for a trade before reconciliation will be crying later about it.

Not one GM is willing to give Kyrie full max or do S&T to get him. They really quick to do so when it comes to Dame, i wonder why?

What a joke.
Kyrie has been a complete **** his entire tenure as a Brooklyn Nets. Missing games willy nilly, conducting his own practices, undermining the coaches and front office, refused to get vaccinated.
He in no way, shape of form deserves a 5 year max. None of the other 29 teams would give it to him either.
KD knows this. He should have the intelligence to know Kyrie could take the 4 year deal with contingencies offered, a 2 year deal or take a 1 year deal and prove you deserve.
How the **** can KD except us to give a max deal to a clown who never plays and is a locker room cancer?

We all have to come to terms that KD/Kai are here to stay. The only thing to hope for is they win a ring. That will solve all.

Don't fall a sleep on this. Pop's/RC will work with Marks and Pelinka. Couple 2nd round picks can get it done for San An from whats been said.
I'm pulling real hard for LBJ and Clutch here. I'll settle for unprotected 2027 pick alone.

The ideal, but moderately more complicated would be us taking a SA player into our Jordan TPE giving the Spurs enough space to take Irving into cap space thus creating a new TPE for the entirety of Irving's roughly $37mil in salary. The Spurs then deal Irving and filler to LA for Westbrook and compensation.

Chad waited long enough. It's over for PHX and their hopes. Lets see if Sarvar/Jones will match, i think they have no choice here. Even though he's B.LO 2.0 at this point.

Read between the lines bro! KD/Kyrie got their wish. Kyrie is gonna sign an extension… KD saying this solidifies and asserts this and it means Kyrie won the battle. My guess is three more years plus this year.

I know. So are you saying you think Kyrie is going to sign extension and KD backs off or no?
I heard people mention Scoop B said that and saw people responding on twitter but never saw any tweet where he said that. Perhaps he mentioned on instagram or somewhere else I guess.
Scoop B never directly said. Hes always cryptic.
Basically said watch for news for 11 on 7/10. Then when a Nets fan asked if it was good news he said yes.
I guess the question then is, what does Scoop consider good news for 11?

The thing is, if CP is "ready to fall off a cliff soon" is an aging injury prone KD and Booker with little depth and few picks over the next 7 years enough? Or is it better to keep young core and add young guys, MLE guys, etc?

San An cleared neccessary cap space for trade to happen. It's clear as day it's up to Buss now, she needs to sacrifice some assets here.
I'm telling y'all, we better hope this Kyrie to LA thing will go through. This unprotected pick will be in top 5 for sure.
We will lose him for nothing next year. He ain't coming back, bet on that. Here we have legit shot. Let's hope LBJ will make this happen.
