If Andy is involved its about making numbers work. Which means its a three or four team deal with lots of moving parts going on.

Maybe Andy found homes for Lowry and Duncan in other deals to get Marks other assets. This don’t work for us if Bam is involved. We need the trio of Bam, Durant, and Butler for this to work.

So, it seems to me the Heat will focus all its effort on Durant, if that doesn't work then they'll switch over to Mitchell which might likely go on to the trade deadline and even beyond. If Durant doesn't work out, I could see them just running it back and hoping Duncan can regain his value while waiting on the Mitchell situation. Though I don't know how that'll work if they give Herro his new contract.

Suns don’t even want the guy yet his RFA status makes him an asset. And Suns have all the control. They can re-sign outright, match any offer, or trade as part of a large package. They hold all the cards and he is a viable asset.

The second we give Herro his money we lose that.

The downside is potential hurt feelings. But so be it. We are going for a title in the short term.

I don't see that...they are one Indy offer away from losing him for nothing or being forced into taking on a contract you didn't want.

How can Duncan regain his value? Take a peep at the depth chart.

A S&T is not good. It means they are getting assets to be transferred in a Durant deal.

Wouldn’t any players involved in the trade not be able to be traded again until midseason? I highly doubt picks are involved

Yup. If Ayton signs an offer sheet then Phoenix loses him as a trade asset and are left with the options of letting him walk for nothing or begrudgingly re-signing him to a contract they likely didn't want to give him. It's a dangerous game Phoenix is playing and they definitely do not hold all the cards

He 100% will get a chance during the regular season. Have you not seen Spo's love for him? in fact I can even see him "featured" until the trade deadline. Playoffs where teams scheme for specific players is a different thing, but be prepared for 25 minutes (atleast) of Duncan to start the year - if he's still here.

Dining with Bigg Andy must be a pretty awkward experience I'd imagine

Andy is just gathering intel on Millsap from his time in Brooklyn. Nothing to see here.

Spo lost that loving feeling in the playoffs lol. But in reality Martin,Dipo, Herro, Strus, and Highsmith is a crowded field.

Sure, we have a ton of guards, but I'm pretty sure Spo still has some respect for Duncan so I can see him get some play during the regular season at least. And he doesn't have to build up his full value, just not be the albatross he currently is.

Right, it took the starters asking for Strus in the starting lineup for the change to happen. It seemed odd to watch Robinson being used so much while he was struggling and Strus not knowing if he'd had a DNP-CD for any game Miami played.

Never judge a book by its cover, Andy could be eating a giant salad and drinking unsweet tea. Dude might have a thyroid issue who knows.

If Duncan is cracking minutes over these guys we have a serious problem.
