What’s the best player(s) we can get for a package of Yurt, Jovic, Herro + filler (Duncan/Lowry contract), not named Durant?

The Nets are in a pretty **** situation right now tbh. Durant wants out but meanwhile they don’t own their first round pick until like 2028 because of the Harden deal and cannot just simply go into a rebuild. For Kyrie, I’m sure they would like the best win now player they can get for him but no team is touching that upcoming max deal with a ten foot pole. Then stuck with a head case like Simmons who is coming off major back surgery. Truly stuck between a rock and a hard place are the Nets

As far as if the Heat interest in him? Think Riley would have to get really desperate to take on an ego as big as Kyrie. It’s easy to fall into the illusion of Kyrie the player, but Kyrie the person has to be heavily considered when thinking of making a deal for him. Furthermore, the guy has not won anything without Lebron on some very solid teams the past few seasons

I agree with everything you said but outside of Kawhi and Giannis winning has been dominated by LeBron and GS/KD for the last few years. I agree that dealing for Kyrie is a tough situation to put yourself into.

ICC, what your man think the odds are of KD and his agent going into that meeting and pounding the table for Miami?

What they need to do, is fire sale the entire team. Try to acquire as many very young good prospects (like Herro) and some draft picks.

Then, at least they can go into rebuild and the fans can look forward to something. They'll be drafting someone every year, and their very young good prospects (like a Herro) will still be around 6 years from now and just entering their prime when they finally get their picks back.

Riley thinks 28 is young? I guess as someone near 80, but in basketball years it's not.

Honestly looking at the list of "fair value" and im pretty sure those teams would tell you GTFO if we offered that package. That's reality. The Clippers won't trade Paul for that. The same with the Blazers, same with the Jazz, etc. The only one I could see is Kyrie and if he plays normal no way they do that.

In basketball years, you tend to think of someone who just completed their 4th season as a relatively "young" player, age aside.

Sure you tend to think that but when you know your own player was a rookie at 24 you should know that they're not young after their 4th year. He's around 2 years younger then Butler was his first year in Miami.
