Very high, It is expected from our Heat execs (its why they are so entrenched on the idea of getting Durant without making any other moves), so far all the info coming back is he wants out and bad and his desire is coming here. His agent was doing most of the leg work making them know how bad he wants out. However this will be an opportunity for him to speak his mind directly, ownership really wants to understand his reasoning, they do want to fix the situation. Its up to Durant to push this as a situation that cannot be remedied. This is the last straw of hope from the ownership team to convince him to play out one more year and see what they can do and then trade him the year after if he still feels the same way. Also because of Durant being so adament about the teams he is requesting, every other market is only low balling the offers which means very little competition of offers.
Heres another tidbit of info, theres a loan against the team during the purchase of the team the loan agreement has a value scale that is adjusted based on revenue, this apparrantly went really close to negative last year due to all the hoopla with Kirie, so the re payment margins have only increased and the tickets sales had to be increased to match the loss creating some market loss even with the revenue of games sold. Somewhere around 15M losses projected. If Durant enters this season while sitting on the bench this could double or tripple, and the cascading affect on the repayment of the loan for the next couple of years will continue to increase. Im not a banker finance guy so i dont know how to explain it correctly. Regurgitsting what I understood ultimately What I mean about this is Miami knows this and knows Durant saying he will sit or cause rift is a stronger message than perseeved.
