If this was 28 year old KD, I'd trade everything for him

And nets wouldn’t be taking a package of butler/bam/lowry/Herro/the whole team + picks for a 28 year old KD either

id move bam for KD.... hect yes... and id give them herro too... im not high on herro, so all they would really be gettin is bam... what i would not do though is give them picks... i would preserve our picks and send young players instead... like maybe vincent/jovic w.e.... keep our picks.. because KD/Jim will age in 3 years and we will need to rebuild through the draft...Bam + herro + jovic +vincent is an excellent offer.

Thinking about this age, kinda nuts we got LeBron James prime years 27-31 basically for free

Simmons is the issue with moving bam to nets…

ya you would need a 3rd team involved... maybe move bam to another team, and they send there picks to brkn... bam has to net you atleast 4 FRPs... + herro and thats a great deal... There has to be a contender out there interested in a athletic defensive stopper like bam. although it does hurt us that he didnt make the all star team last year.

Nice of you to make such a fantastic offer.

You're crazy if you think a 34 year old post achilles surgery player who misses 20+ games per season is worth that. Miami isn't stupid enough to entertain that because that isn't his value. Nets are valuing him way too high based on his name value. He is worth a lot, but he certainly isn't worth both Herro and Bam, and a lot of picks. The league as a whole does not value him even remotely as high as the Nets are or the deal would have been done already.

Of course you would make that Kyrie trade. Kyrie is a negative assett at this point. He's too much of a wildcard around the league. You're nuts if you think you won't get bent over a table on a Kyrie trade. Only a team that wants the expiring contract would be really interested. Brooklyn might have to throw in a pick to move Kyrie at this point. Lowry and a contract filler for Kyrie is reasonable. Lowry, Herro, and 3 picks is insane.

Both the Jazz and Nets are way overvaluing and only Minnesota has been stupid enough to bite on it. Nothing will change until both The Jazz and Nets, respectively, come back to earth.

Do you think you're going to get KD for free? Serious question. Boston is legit the only team whose offer is, imo, acceptable. What is Miami remotely offering for KD that compares to getting a package involving Jaylen Brown? If you think Bam/Herro isn't a good baseline for negotiations then you're not getting KD. Not that we can trade for Bam anyway because of that stupid rule.

Kyrie I could care less about, i figured you guys may want to dump Lowry's salary. I would trade Kyrie for a bag of garbage to be honest, i hate him that much.

Also, I said Kyrie for Lowry/Herro and a top 3 protected first, not 3 firsts.

At this point in their careers Miami views Bam as more of an asset than KD and rightfully so, so why would we send Herro too? KD is 34 with a bad injury history, he could get hurt next season and then we’re crippled.

I agree with you, but KD is still a top 8 player. The Nets would need a suitable return.

The fact is, KD is worth more to the Nets than he is to everyone else, but we can't just give him away for nothing that doesn't keep us competitive given our situation

It's debatable. If the Nets don't want our players, you can trade them for picks. Trade Bam for 4 unprotected picks, Lowry for a pick, and Herro for 2 picks. You're giving 10 first rounders without including pick swaps yet for a 28 year old KD. That's a historic package no?

Oh I was just speaking hypothetically for 28 year old KD. Window is so long for him at that age, so I'm not scared to invest a lot. Let's say Luka is on the trade market. Wouldn't every team be willing to gut their roster for him?

However, Kyrie can be had for Lowry/Herro + top 3 protected first. That deal I would do in a heartbeat

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

that was on top of landing Bosh........

It changed the NBA landscape for the worse. People hate on KD for going to GSW, all he did was follow Lebron's blueprint - And it worked defeating Lebron & the Cavs w/ a taste of his own medicine

IceColdCubano wrote: so far all the info coming back is he wants out and bad and his desire is coming here. His agent was doing most of the leg work making them know how bad he wants out. However this will be an opportunity for him to speak his mind directly, Its up to Durant to push this as a situation that cannot be remedied. This is the last straw of hope from the ownership team to convince him to play out one more year. Also because of Durant being so adament about the teams he is requesting, every other market is only low balling the offers which means very little competition of offers.

Heres another tidbit of info, theres a loan against the team during the purchase of the team the loan agreement has a value scale that is adjusted based on revenue, this apparrantly went really close to negative last year due to all the hoopla with Kirie, so the re payment margins have only increased and the tickets sales had to be increased to match the loss creating some market loss even with the revenue of games sold. Somewhere around 15M losses projected. If Durant enters this season while sitting on the bench this could double or tripple, and the cascading affect on the repayment of the loan for the next couple of years will continue to increase. Im not a banker finance guy so i dont know how to explain it correctly. Regurgitsting what I understood ultimately What I mean about this is Miami knows this and knows Durant saying he will sit or cause rift is a stronger message than perseeved.

THIS IS IT PEOPLES! W/ Bam & Jimmy communicating w/ KD throughout & his agent certainly will want to strategise this out to a final decision from Nets.....this face-to-face is our opportunity! If KD plays this out right, forces his way to Miami....he will be ours this week.
