Also, this isn't prime KD, this is KD on the backend of his career. It's an easy move in my eyes, take a step back, trade KD and Kyrie then trying to go all in with Simmons as your star or at least to build up his value to move him in a year or 2.

You are right that you move him for the best offer, I’d guess between the next week or two. Make no mistake about it though, KD even on the “backend” of his career is still going to sleepwalk to 25-30 a night

Getting a GM fired is different since you are trying to manipulate the management of the organization. Marks has basically done everything ownership has wanted so it would be a pretty bad look for them to fire Marks at the request of a player, even of Durant's level. Tsai also doesn't strike me as someone that feels like wilting to the desires of a player after all the crap the team has put up between Kyrie and now KD this off-season.

The value of BK’s franchise is worth a lot more with KD then it is with Nash, Marks, Duncan, Herro, Lowry, and whatever picks we can muster up. This is a real easy decision for Tsai and his money. If you can’t see that then I don’t know what else to say.

Keeping KD and firing the head coach and GM is how you loose control of your franchise. Problem is it’s not like were talking about Spo and Elisburg here. Nash and Marks are expendable. Especially if BK fills the void with league wide favorites. If BK hires New Yorker Mark Jackson they will be lauded and everyone will forget about Nash.

You're right, a SG in a 7 foot body who's highly skilled will still score well probably all the way until he retires but his defense is already starting to degrade.

Sean Marks has his back against the wall now. If he don’t provide Tsai with a blockbuster offer he’s gone.

It's not exactly about who the HC or GM is, it's the fact that this is the 2nd head coach they've tried to push out. I would have considered to move them once I heard Kyrie talking about being the HC and GM. If the organization doesn't have a backbone they're going to continue to be treated like this. This is a reason why Miami usually stays "good", they don't put up with that level of BS and that's a good thing(although they do put up with lesser BS).

Durant stated he does not have faith in the team’s direction, sources said.

In a face-to-face meeting with Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai over the weekend, All-NBA star Kevin Durant reiterated his trade request and informed Tsai that he needs to choose between Durant or the pairing of general manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash, sources tell The Athletic.

only 2 ways that I see

1. KD stays

2. takes Brown, 1st, White and whatever fillers Boston is willing to give up

at this point Nets should really trade him though that's not a bad haul at all and the best offer by far

Boston by far best offer. The Heat deal is a fire Marks and Nash offer.

Herro (for 6 years minimum) 5 1sts, Jovic as the main assets going out is better than JB (for maybe 2 seasons) and a 1st in my opinion.

Brown can score but not dribble well, Simmons handles the ball, is a great passer and doesn't shoot and both are great defenders, they're a good fit together long-term, just add a big scorer, say Mitchell with all the picks they have or wait for a good 2 way player who can score 20+.

Deal should be done already if that’s the case. Durant should be in a Heat uni instead of complaining about getting the coach and gm fired. Marks probably wants any deal to go through at this point to save his job. Tsai don’t like our offer.

Nash should be fired. But if KD also wants the GM Marks gone I'm assuming he wants a GM who'll hand a max extension to Kyrie. Wonder if Tsai is up for that
