I don't count NBA TV so I say 10 which is still pretty damn good. We could get more flexed in too. Surprised at 4 TNT games, we never get on TNT.

Wow. Just looked at the schedule.

20 straight wins might be the best start in franchise (NBA) history!

Are NBA TV not national?

They are it's just they don't have nearly the reach or prestige of
ESPN or NBA on TNT. Those games get huge coverage and eyeballs, NBA TV, people don't really pay attention to, there is just a big gap in prestige. NBA TV is like a participation trophy. ESPN means there are some people who think you are interesting. TNT and ABC mean you have hit the big time. MLK day game on national TV is a pretty high level of respect. Christmas day game is the ultimate message that you are a team the NBA sees as integral to the season.

Could happen for sure, we very realistically could be looking at a win percentage of like 70-80 percent in the first 11 games. What a start that would be. We can afford to struggle a big but we really can't blow that opening ten and be like 3-7.

The hope is struggle means closer games with us winning. Also in this context closer means win by 10 instead of 20.

NBA-TV literally just simulcast's the home team's broadcast feed. They don't do their own production, except for a halftime show. That's why it should be counted differently.

Only two ESPN/TNT games at Target Center is pretty disappointing, but oh well.

I totally forgot about that, yea that's a massive reason why they aren't considered on the same level.

But the non league pass fans still see them, and I would imagine the Wolves get extra tv revenue for the Simulcast?

PRobably and again they are national games but they are not nearly as prestigious as the others. No one really cares for an NBA TV game. ESPN, TNT, and ABC with national tv crews and coverage are where it's at.

Of course. But I am thinking from a merch sales and tv revenue angle. We want to be a lux team who eventually competes as a super Lux team with the GSW and LAC, and LALs of the world, we need the money to come from somewhere.

10 legit and 16 actual are more that we expected which is cool. Funny no vs Utah games IMO.

Utah tanking isn’t a high value situation. Unlike a Wolves vs Warriors after the Wiggins trade where both teams sought to get better.

Whats cool is we can get flexed into some more. If we really are a top 3 team we will probably get a handful more games.

At least. They just talked about that on Dane Moore’s most recent pod. I cannot remember the number they used but I thought it was in the 20s.

FA’s like the attention/stage of nationally televised games … if we can stand on it, that will be huge for a FA opportunity next iff-season.
