If you had a free $1K bet to pick the 2023 champions today (and not allowed to picks Warriors or Sixers) who would it be?

I already bet $1k since day 1 of FA on Sixers with a $16k payout

I plan to bet again next year if we didn’t win it this year

I find Sixers to be undervalued while having the talent and determination to win it this year. Harden kind of showed it with his $20M paycut for a big payday next season

Its just a reg season game but watch the 5 man unit the Warriors used to win

Steph
Klay
KD
Draymond
Looney

Down the stretch the Kings can’t hunt any big. If they pull out Looney from the paint, there’s Draymond and KD waiting to protect the rim.

Not as good but we can somewhat mimic this with the Tucker-Tobias-Jojo or Tucker-Reed-Embiid trio

If Maxey or Harden gets hunted, then we sub them for eitheror two of Melton, House or Reed

Same. I prefer Grimes over Barrett

I find Grimes to be more skilled than Barrett. I dont like how Barrett plays. 40FG% on 51TS%. He’s like a SG version of Julius Randle. A PF on a SG body. I dont think he’d be given this much opportunity (17FGAs) if he wasnt drafted that high.

Tough luck for Chet & OKC. But at least everybody in the sports world isn't hoping they fail while this is happening

Noone is talking about it but that Utah trade with LAL maybe less about what they were interested in getting back and more about the NYK

My guess with Brunson and Mitchell they would have zero interest in Beverly. THT might be a different story. Wouldn't be surprised if this trade turns into a 3 team trade

Last season Jaren Jackson Jr. led the league in blocks per game. Jackson became the first Grizzlies player to lead the NBA in one of five major statistical categories.

The Grizzlies were the last team without a player who led the NBA in points, rebounds, assists, steals, or blocks per game.

I think THT is a pump and dump scheme similar to what Josh Richardson was with the Heat.

LAL’s only ticket for a robbery is THT.

I’d prefer a scorer instead like Clarkson or Bogdanovic, whereas it takes away the load of inefficient scoring from Westbrook and max out Westbrooks all around game (w/o scoring) instead

THT’s trade value is lowkey what we’re gonna get for Thybulle. A fake first rounder depending on the buyer.

After the Lakers pulled the trigger on that Beverley trade... I have to believe they have a follow up deal with Indiana coming up.

Wasn't THT going to yield them a superstar? What happened to that perceived Laker value?

He’s a pump and dump project, similar to what Heat did with Josh Richardson.

Isn’t Jason Tatum overrated?

Below 60TS% at 56-57%
ISO numbers similar to Siakam
Shut down by Andrew Wiggins in the finals

He’s good but he’s not a superstar.

If Tatum is a superstar then Devin Booker should also be.

The 5 “bigs” (not guards or true wings) in terms of total time spent guarding opposing guards

1. Aaron Gordon (Spent almost 50%! of his time guarding PG/SGs)
2. Scottie Barnes
3. Chris Boucher
4. PJ Tucker
5. Jarred Vanderbilt

I'm not saying he is or isn't, but he was playing hurt in at least the finals. But damn did he come up small in the biggest spots.
