Something many of us in here remember, when we were at the ESPN Cowboy forum back in 2008 was a poster by the name of PDay that predicted the Cowboys would not win another Super Bowl in his lifetime as long as Jerry owned the team. He's just a few years older than me.

Dallas has had good & competitive teams nearly every year. Which is way better than the alternative.

Teams like Detroit, Jacksonville, Washington, Miami & the Jets are perennial losers. Always rebuilding. They might sniff the playoffs once every 5-7 years if things bounce their way.

You simply come off as entitled.

We've been rebuilding for 26 years. Every mistake is a constant revolving door year after year. One year its injuries. The nest year its a bad draft. Then its a bad trade here and there. Then its bad contract after bad contract with certain players that prevent them from getting the final few pieces need when we get close. Red Flag players has always come back to nip us in the butt every 3-4 years. Lousy head coaches. Bad culture and front office for over 20 years. I mean I could go on and on here. Complete lack of leadership from the top. And Yes, I'm spoiled and entitled after growing up in the 70's. Have always admitted it.

They won 12 games last season. That isn't "rebuilding". It's a good roster. I do agree that the issue has more to do with coaching. They haven't had a good headcoach really since Parcells & Jimmy before him. That ultimately falls on ownership.

Take away the 6 games they won vs. the Egals, Giants and Washington, and what do you have? Please. And now the roster is worse especially on the offensive side of the ball. Call it what you want. I'll be nice this time since you didn't threatened me this time. And yes, ultimately everything falls on ownership. Been preaching it for a very long time. Jerry will always screw the pooch.

Why would we subtract those games? Those are the most important ones lol. That's basically how you treat Jerry too, his ownership didn't start until 1997 for you. We have to subtract the dynasty he created when viewing his tenure for some reason.

Let's subtract all of Belichick's rings with Brady and declare him a failure.

When you subtract the division games we get clobbered for the most part. Go back and look how we did last year vs. teams with .500 or better records. You have to take that in consideration when your measuring up against the best teams in the league. Just winning the division has never cut the mustard with me unless its the first couple years of a complete rebuilding phase.
And don't get me started about the team Jimmy built. If Jerry would have not forced Jimmy out of the way and brought in Sanders, that team would have won more than 3 Super bowls. Jerry didn't create sh.t.

You literally just said "ultimately everything falls on ownership" . But for some reason the 90s dynasty is the exception to that? Jerry bought the team and fired Landry and then brought his buddy Jimmy in. None of it would have happened without that.

I know for fact that if Dallas wins a ring in the near future you would credit someone other than Jerry. It's personal for you, he is your enemy till the end.

None of it would have happened without Jimmy. Case closed. And we are at the heart of the problem here. Jerry wants credit for the Jimmy years and us old guard Cowboy fans won't give it too him. However his ego won't allow his brain to believe otherwise.

Jerry literally hired Jimmy. He is the reason Jimmy happened. It all starts with ownership right? That's what you just said a few posts ago.

Just because you have ownership doesn't make you a good owner or leader of men. Jerry wasn't in class the day they were passing out brains for leadership. A great owner is a person that always puts his organization in the best position for all to succeed. He can't and won't do it because it would prove the old guards point.

That just means another so, so year and then one and done in the playoffs. But your fine with that. Remember, even the Jaguar have more playoff wins than us since our last Super Bowl.

Jerry Jones is 288-241 regular season. 15-13 post season. 3-0 Super Bowl.

You can make it look bad by subtracting all the good parts, but you can do that with anyone.

Also none of this means that he is without flaw, or that I am okay losing in the first round. All it means is that his tenure as an owner has been a successful one overall. Vast majority of other franchises would jump on those results if offered.

If it all starts at ownership, you have to accept the wins too, not just the losses.

Totally disagree and you can take that record and shove it. I can see why Steven A. Smith hates Dallas Cowboy fans. You are one of the prime examples. As a Cowboy fan of 52 years, its embarrassing how you all are today. Jerry knows nothing about football and the new Cowboy fans don't know that much more, except how to look good crying after a playoff loss and giving the rest of the NFL a wonderful chuckle.

You should join Sportshoopla and dallascowboyuniverse for a season. I can't help wondering how long you would last there when there are about 50 poster's in each Cowboy forum with pretty much the same view as me when it comes to Jerry. They would love a fresh fish like you.

I know there are plenty of Jerry haters in the Cowboys base, probably the majority. I'm not void of questioning Jerry, I already have voiced mistakes this off season in letting Cooper and Collins walk.

But the ones who ONLY talk about Jerry are the headache. They do not view anything rationally, it is only "Jerry BAD!" and that is it. There is absolutely zero the guy can do right. And the repeated negativity is over the top. I should join Sportshopla? No it's more like you should join an Eagle's forum, you'd fit right in on bashing the Cowboys 24/7.

I do not even understand why you watch the team TBH. All it does is stress you out and make you pull your hair out and curse Jerry year after year. That isn't being a fan, it's being a hater.

So Cowboy fans. How do you like your early Xmas present from your great leader Jerry? I never saw this coming, LMFAO. I hope we go 0-5 so this whole thing blows up for all to see. Most of the toys in Jerry's play pen have no tread left.

I expected our offense to be bad but not THAT bad. Wow they just couldn't do anything.

I think Cooper was more important to our offense than most Cowboy fans realized, that guy is an elite route runner.

I guess with Gallup we could make up for it MAYBE but we have to come to the realization that Gallup is very injury prone and wil never play an entire season.

Outside of Lamb there are no WRs on this team that even belong in the NFL. It's just putrid.

Oh just now seeing that Dak is out 6-8 weeks.

yeah season over. NVM about Will Fuller

SMH just depressing.

This is why it is important to play fantasy football. At least something else to focus on this season.

The State of Cowboys Union has not been this bad since the late 80's. All the Cowboy haters throughout the country are drinking an extra bottle of champaign today in celebration. The once proud, traditional, historic and revered franchises in all the world we grew up knowing as America's Team, has been permenetly scared, tainted and damaged under Jerry's leadership. The Star has become the laughing stock of the NFL. Congratulations, we are almost at the bottom of the barrel with the Jaguars, Redskins, Lions, Houston, Jets and the Falcons. Shouldn't be much longer before we get there.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
