So basically the league is hoping to shame him into selling vs actually going to court to force him out. This is likely to be a f-ing mess. Shaming only works on normal humans who feel that emotion, I don't think that applies to this asshat. Hell just dig in his heels and ruin the franchise.

So basically you're saying he'll stay true to form for what he's shown during his tenure. Internal removal vote/ discreet sale coming!

The internal removal might actually be our best hope. My understanding is Sarver only owns about 35% of the team.

IDK man I'm just bummed out by the whole deal. Not sure how much mental energy I'll spend on this franchise with that fool owner.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

The Sarver news sucks. You think it was hard to get free agents before, it will be even harder now. The only thing that gives me hope through all this is Monty Williams, really can’t say enough of how lucky we are to have him.

I called this in an earlier post. NBA thinks a public shaming will make a difference

He hurt a lot of people. And anyone still defending this clown in even the slightest of passive ways after all of these years needs to look in the mirror and reevaluate how they treat other people with respect and compassion and figure it out.

Nice ‘passive’ jab hoot. Throw a blanket of self righteousness over us all.

It’s clear, Sarver is this site’s Trump. People have been wanting him gone for years… and now when it looked like there was a chance, he dodged a haymaker. Booos from the crowd. And the irony is we went to the finals and set a win record. Damn him.

And btw, what’s going on in Cuban/Mav land deserves as much or more attention as there are actual assault allegations and a ‘go away and be quiet’ payoff was tendered. Sarver is just a pompous, arrogant dick, pain and simple. The guy didn’t think he was doing anything wrong. He’s going to have to to change his mind about that.

Oops, there I go again…. Where’s my mirror? :eyebrows:

You brush off people like Trump and Sarver as simply being "dicks." I and a lot of other people think their actions, words and behavior rise to a blatant level of misogyny and racism. Whatever, you have your worldview and I have mine. Sterling didn't think he did anything wrong either but he was still held accountable. Cuban should be held accountable. Sarver should be held accountable. No one should be above this **** just because they have the financial means to drag things out in court and that's basically what Silver is doing. Helluva country we have here.

Oh I agree with you on that! Although he's a hypocritical azz clown of the highest order,
My hope that I would try to take from this would be that someone of Le' Douche's mass influence could maybe push momentum farther towards the removal of Saver by the NBA due to player support and star pressure throughout the league? Could his hypocritical BS actually play to our advantage in this scenario? :dontknow:

But yeah, he’s probably disgusted. I’m sure a lot of people hate Bezos that are high up with Amazon. It is what it is.

I'm sure it's been said but I think this will end with Sarver eventually "willingly" selling the team.

"While I don't agree with yada yada yada, I also don't want to be a distraction to the city and franchises I love so much. I will sell the team and yada yada for the benefit of everyone... PS, I didn't do it"

No way Sarver is the Suns owner after his suspension is over.

Being the Lebron cynic, if he does have an impact on Sarver selling, it would solely be because Sarver has somewhat tarnished the image of the NBA which is a large part of Lebron's brand and Lebron's brand is what makes him $$$. Same reason he sided with the China and Adam Silver when Morey "tarnished" the pro-China image of the NBA - $$$

It's definitely eye rolling material to watch all the unprincipled takes from players and fans alike. Oh ya you're so OUTRAGED while still cashing checks from the team or buying tickets/apparel. Nevermind the fact a guy like Lebron has built a merch empire on the backs of laborers working in places known for some of the WORST human rights violations in the world. Dude is always looking to take virtue shots at the low hanging fruit when he can like the ones at ol' Bobby today.

Sarver was clearly a misogynistic frat boy-esque douche for a long time, but racist? Stop, it's depleting brain cells trying to claim anything he said was racially charged. Doesn't even matter to me if he's here or not - clearly a lot of fans lose sleep over it though. They've been foaming at the mouth to get rid of him so that this magical, hypothetical new unicorn owner can come in and spend insanely which will drive up home ticket prices to near unaffordable levels. They're never going to let go of his prior roster/FO mishandlings.

A full year suspension is a long time away from the team he clearly loves. $10 million is a lot of money. Do people forget about redemption arcs or is it always OFF WITH HIS HEAD? All I know is this franchise/fanbase is back to being toxic again. Man that didn't take long.
