Which yea, try to get that money. It’s his first major deal. But maxing Herro IMO is the wrong decision. To me, I’d say about 5/100 to 5/110 is where the contract should fall.

It's his ego which has also got him to the NBA, allows him to take big shots (and make some) and even though he has some ability, he thinks he's better than he is. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if in a few months after he gets paid by somebody that he gets vocal about needing the offense built more around him. I really liked him his rookie year, he looked like a really good catch and shoot SG who could take advantage of bad defenders, but he wants more, and I don't expect he's going to be all that good as a high-priced offensive option.

Huh...
Not a bad defender at all last year?

At least Herro has some size, he's not in Trae Young territory.

I mean at least put a hand up, he hits nearly 1 out of every 3 and the game went to triple OT. Force the miss and maybe it rewards us at the end of the game.

Sure, on catch and shoot 3s he shot 29% BUT... if you let him dribble to get a rhythm his percentages go up dramatically. For instance, that 3 dribble 3pt shot, he made at a 44% clip last year although using just 2 dribbles he shot 9%.
0 dribbles 29%
1 dribble 40%
2 dribbles 9%
3-6 dribbles 44%
6+ 50%

Basically, contest him, don't let him get comfortable with the ball before shooting and don't just stand there not contesting. Hell, contest and leak out for a fast break vs let him comfortably dribble into a 3. At the very least, on a team built on defense and effort, contest the shot and put a hand up...

Explains how Big Face Coffee started which I haven't heard anywhere else, did it start in the bubble... yes, but why.

He also mentions that even though he's 33 he feels his energy level is still going up which he didn't expect.

If Jimmy adds a legit 3 he’s going to be elite over the entire course of his contract, health permitting. I think he will

Which yea, try to get that money. It’s his first major deal. But maxing Herro IMO is the wrong decision. To me, I’d say about 5/100 to 5/110 is where the contract should fall.

The market will dictate it, 25 mil is not realistic at this point. No one is saying giving him a max deal, something fair and normal would be a Lowry deal. Ideally if we were serious about a title we should have traded him a year ago to get Butler help but we wanted that rookie contract.

Lowry is 27,28 and then 29. Are you saying Herro contract needs to start at 27 mill?

bam, the current mentality doesn't work for you, you're not the type because I don't think you're a leader... leaders almost always have a great basketball IQ and wants to win in everything every time... my advice is not to focus on being a leader of your group, focus on being an incredible player, revolutionizing the big man position

just watching the nikola jovic interview. i get the sense that this kid is not ready for the NBA, it appears that he's either trade bait or a long heat project. its going to take awhile for this kid to be something else, if ever.

i see him too timid in that interview, tyler which is one year older sounds way mature than him

Kyle Lowry and Robinson matches. Should Heat get them 1st round picks? I wouldn't count it out. Could open the Heat up to a trade for a star.

Just saying. Lowry and Robinson fits the Lakers roster. Playoff experience players. Opens up the Heat to offer a boat load of picks with Herro an expiring Westbrook for Durant or someone else.

Or maybe he's just a young kid from overseas in a different country so that's why he might be timid during interviews?
