This is awesome, Miami couldn't find anyone to give up much for Herro so they could land KD so hand him 25-32 mil a year, it's so Miami. I haven't been this happy since Minnesota fans got their wish of maxing out Wiggins and he scored nearly 24 a game at age 21.

I guess this is what we're going to get the new few months, the return of passive aggressive P lol.

Not sure I'll be passive, but I will try to wait for a while. This feels a lot like the Whiteside signing, Miami backed into a corner of having to pay him or possibly lose him, Miami didn't even get him locked up for 5 years which I can at least see that part of the argument with a possible spike in the salary cap in a few seasons.

KD was never actually on the market so let's just get over that.

It's not so much about KD as it is about what they couldn't get for Herro to up the offer... then paid him a ton.

What a great day!

4 years on a less than max deal may be good for his value, teams might have not wanted the headache of max negotiations. At least they know now

KD was available, we just weren’t trading Bam for him lol. He’d be in a Heat jersey right now if so

There’s obviously a lot of questions around Herro and if he’ll be worth his contract. If he can improve defensively and show up in the playoffs I can’t complain

Herro must be running circles around everyone at training camp.

Phoenix wants to not add salary while finding a replacement for Crowder on the bench. All aboard the Russ train!

They told Minnie they wanted Edwards and Kat.

That's not available lol, I don't think any trade we've ever seen would approach that.

The deal includes $120 million guaranteed with incentives that can bring the contract to a full $130 million, sources said.

That’s just one team though, we know what we needed to trade to get him. We just weren’t willing and it wasn’t too crazy of a deal, just not good enough for us

Honestly, can't be mad at that deal. Considering the circumstances, Its not awful. Heat really didn't have a choice because we didn't get anywhere on the trade market and I'm sure they wanted to secure him before all of our other free agents next year (Dipo, Max, Gabe). My guess is that they didn't want a contract extension or a possible Herro trade as a distraction all season. This extension makes him feel secure and confident to go out and just ball.

Now they will have to do some contract gymnastics. I would expect that Duncan will be gone for expirings to whoever wants to take his contract. I wouldn't be surprised even if it's Russ. Lowry and Duncan for Russ And that leaves Vic and Gabe at the point spots. Trade deadline will be interesting.

No more excuses. You got your money now it’s time to play some defense and actually show up in the playoffs. I don’t want to here any more injury talk or this and that, the results do the talking. Jimmy and Bam weren’t getting by on excuses when they would play bad despite Jimmys knee issues and Bams quad/Covid issues that kept him from any sort of practice going into the playoffs.

Nut up or shut up, let’s hope for the best

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade
