2ND Q: SPURS 37 ROCKETS 62

Both numbers concerning.

We worked to tie it in scoring in terms of this Q, then leaked points on both ends. Down 13 and now 12 points even though we scored more in this Q. More crucial is giving up two 30+ point Qs.

End of Q details: 19-6 run against...

We lack cohesion. Sloppy. Seven steals against. It will take time but this is a cold hard pail of ice water reality.

Made shots make up for a lot of mistakes, but we're not giving ourselves any cushion here either: 13-47 for 27.7% (!) and 2-18 from 3 (!!). Only 7 assists at the half, of course related to missed shots.

Down 34-28 in total rebounds, leading 10-7 on O glass. More chances. Not sure how many we've capitalized or given up but eye test shows them crashing our glass with more energy.

I thought we'd play more like a team. And I'm sure it will come along. But it's also tough when our true starting line-up will not have played any minutes together before the regular season begins.

For now, some better energy and pride would be nice.

Malaki is the sole confident scorer. He's just so smooth. Bucket, speed, quick decisions. Nice to see.

Sochan has shown flashes of great athleticism and D but also inexperience in biting on fakes and getting passes whizzed by him as he's in the air.

Everyone except for Jakob and Malaki are struggling to score.

Cardinal sin: guys aren't running back on D. NO EXCUSE.
