KAT had subpar court vision. At this point he is who he is. Hopefully this season he’s featured less as a creator and more as a catch and shoot big.

Horrible defense in the 1st Q. Don't like the big lineup vs the clippers. Too slow to recover to their 3 pt shooters. In the reg season maybe sub Towns out after 1st 8 Mins of 1st Q and let Prince/Anderson play the 4 alongside Gobert. We should've added bigger and quicker 4. Wish we kept Vanderbilt.

I'd like to see dlo running 2nd unit with Rivers or Forbes/Prince/McDaniels/Gobert..

Dlo bad shooting..those open midrange should be money for him. Hope he picks up the slack when the season begins. Forbes is nice addition. Could be poor man's Joe Harris.

If it works like we think it will Dlo and Gobert are a pair and Ant and KAT are a pair. Rivers/Forbes will probably not be regular rotation players. The question is who fits the remaining 3 spots with each pair?

Vanderbilt and Beverly carried our defense. Seems like we can't play d without them. I love Gobert. But I think Simmons would've been a better fit here. Hopefully the teams plays with more passion and effort in D when Gobert is patrolling the paint.

I guess it can be written off as preseason rust but Towns looks absolutely awful on defense. Very poor closeouts and offering little resistance guarding the pick and rolls.

KAT and Dlo won’t consistently be this bad or inconsequential. Ant picked it up to end the half, but he isn’t doing enough either. To those who say our defense is bad, wait till we have Rudy. Also, KA will play more during the regular season. These lineup experiments won’t carry over to the regular season. This game is not indicative of anything. I am actually encouraged we are only down 9 with them hitting their 3s at a high clip and us missing our open looks so frequently.

We're lucky to be down by only 9 at the half. I see a different/better team 2nd half. Dlo looks like sheet to me. I'd rather see J Mac.

Being down only 9 at the half is pretty good based on how poorly the team played defense. Playing high wall defense doesn't work when every possession it seems like there's at least one guy who is two steps slow in rotation.
