True, but 2 things:
(1) Herro will be targeted way more by opposing starting offensses. Bulls shot 14-16 FG against Herro as DeRozan was licking his chops anytime Herro got switched onto him. Caleb is undersized at the 4, but is still a better defender and won't get picked on nearly as much
(2) The bench lacks a shot creator which Herro would solve instantly. Herro did well in that role last season as his on/off numbers weren't as bad when he faced opposing benches.
The problem is we would be paying 30 million for a bench player. This would be a continuation of comically overpaying Duncan and signing basically a short fat geriatric pg for 30 million a year. One would get fired for just the Duncan signing alone, then add the Lowry signing and they would get thrown out of the building by security. Now spending 30 million for a player to come off the bench is either gross incompetence or someone trying to get fired.
