Brandon Miller
Kel'El Ware
Baba Miller

Not saying there as good of shooters (which only speaks to how ridiculous Wemby is) but there's shooting touch there from what I've heard.

If we part with Gary or not, because that's not how you should or how Masai drafts, but a couple guys that may end up being undervalued that I'm interested to watch this year would be Marcus Sasser and Isaiah Mosley.

Agreed. Not sure Masai has any interest in filling positional prototypes. Big fan of all the Houston's prospects. Walker is probably out of our range, but I love Sasser, and think Arceneaux may have more potential than either. They can all shoot as well, which is my prerequisite for consideration this year (for example, i'm going to need to see a lot more from Cissoko and Matthew Clevelend shooting-wise, even though they'rethe type of players I gravitate towards).

Jalen Hood-Schifino and Tucker Devries are two other names to look out for - both are solid two-way players that would fit in nicely. Will also be looking to see how Gradey Dick and Judah Mintz's defence holds up, cause there's a lot to like about their respective offenses.

Yeah, Houston plays the same brand of chaos ball with length and depth we do. I could see us picking Sasser or Arceneaux if there's not a wing we like better, or maybe trading up in the 2nd round to get him. We don't have to worry about a Houston player not working hard and flying around on defence.

The guys in our draft area (so not top 10, but first round) that look worth watching to me as I'd give them more than a 5 percent chance of being picked by us, assuming we don't move the pick:

Dillon Mitchell, Texas - Big wing, bit raw, plays hard.
Kaluuma, Creighton - Classic modern Raptor
Gradey Dick, Kansas - A tall shooting 2 guard why not
Amari Bailey, UCLA - 6'3 scoring guard who runs in transition fits our bench need
Kris Murray, Iowa - Boring replacement for Otto (and Thad) as a good shooting forward and would set up a long-term frontcourt bench of Koloko, Achiuwa and Murray, and then we probably move Boucher for the guard we need.
Filipowski, Duke - Not our type really, but if he's a truly gifted offensive player, well we do love length and could make OG the backup 2. Precious and Koloko can handle the bench defense and this guy the offense.
Where's the D?

What are you guys looking forward to watching during the first week of the season? Or at least checking out the extended highlights. I haven't checked too hard if these games will be available to stream anywhere, but nearly every game was available last year that I hoped to watch.

November 7th: Chattanooga at Charleston (Jake Stephens)
November 7th: Oral Roberts at St. Mary's (Max Abmas)
November 11th: Michigan State vs Gonzaga - Neutral Site (Drew Timme, Julian Strawther)
November 13th: Colorado at Tennessee (Julian Phillips - Possible Raptors Range)

I gotta check them out. I feel like one of them might take GTJ's spot.

Both Millers are more forwards (Brandon is the better shooter) & Ware is a big with potential shooting touch.

If it’s more a replacement for Gary & looking more for pure wings that would be more Whitehead, George are more natural scorers/shooters (so is Smith Jr but I’m not a huge fan)…Whitmore is something like Jaylen Brown (read somewhere Masai has already scouted). All of them are likely out of our range unless we have a bad season & the only nice looking true wing that’s probably in our range is Chris Livingston.

All that said I think Sidy, Kaluma seem more realistic targets that seem like a Raps pick if we’re around the 20s and Jarace Walker to me seems like such a Raps pick but prob goes too high too.

Kaluma is my guy early on, but I think he'll rise up draft boards.

Cam Whitmore can't shoot, so he certainly fits the Raptors model.

A random name I will throw out that sounds like a Raptors pick would be Jordan Walsh, also of Arkansas (like Anthony Black). It will be interesting to see how Arkansas manages to play with so much talent.

Walsh is my favourite guy, even though I have Kaluma #1 on my Raptors board at the moment. I can't wait to see Arkansas play

I can't help but think Baba Miller would look amazing as a Raptor

One of the long boys

EDIT: Wow just realized he's missing half the season

Any of the 3 Millers look amazing as a Raptors (Leonard Miller in G-League, which haven't started, but may raise)

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/34900199/florida-state-baba-miller-miss-half-season-travel-benefit

Florida State freshman Baba Miller will miss the first half of the 2022-23 season after losing an appeal of an NCAA penalty over a travel benefit, the school announced.

In a release from the school, Florida State said Miller, a 6-foot-11 forward who played for Spain's under-18 national team over the summer, received travel from his native country to the United States and back to attend a training camp prior to his commitment to the Seminoles. Miller and his family repaid the benefit upon learning of the violation, the school said.

But the NCAA Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement denied Florida State's appeal, and Miller will not be able to play for the Seminoles until Jan. 11 against Wake Forest.

"I am very disappointed with the committee's decision based on the facts presented," Florida State athletic director Michael Alford said in a statement. "The decision seems disproportionate and inconsistent in today's modern environment. It's unfortunate that Baba will have to endure this penalty."

Miller had been considered one of the top international prospects committing to the college route in the Class of 2022. He had 11 points and seven rebounds in an exhibition win over Newberry College on Thursday.

Just give me a list of 6'9 guys with 7' + wing spans that are beasts on defense and have athletic upside...

Never pick for need, but would love to add a long, quick, guard who can defend guards like Maxey or Morant with elite speed, cause as good as Fred is defensively, he is not capable of that. Cason Wallace and Marcus Sasser are quite interesting to me.

6'10 with 7'3 wingspan and decent athleticism, those are good potential. His ability to handle the ball at his size is rare, capable of bringing up the ball.

You are are pretty much looking at Siakam, Achiuwa type of big with the ball handling, so he could be in the 1st round. And his measurement and ball handling is pretty much the criteria we were drafting for these days.
