So I guess we're just going to beat everyone?

Great game for Markkanen, and V8 showed some range. We handled the Pelicans well until Zion had to leave the game. From that point on, the Pelicans mounted a comeback without Zion and Ingram, which is commendable.

I didn't like our late-game execution, where we didn't really execute and instead shot a lot of quick 3s and didn't work to get good shots by moving the ball and instead went iso-ball, with poor results. I suppose that if Hardy insists on trying to win games, he should address that late-game execution.

I enjoyed watching the game but in the long-run each win will come back to bite us in the rear, unless we somehow luck out with the lottery gods even more than what we'd expect with a high lottery pick. This is fun to watch now, but there is also the novelty of a new team. At some point it will wear off, and we'll be stuck again with a team that is going nowhere. Ainge needs to take action and make some moves before it's too late. He couldn't have picked a better time to blow up a team and tank. He needs to finish the job and see it through.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Yep. Seemed like Clarkson stopped looking to pass the ball as much in the second half, while he focused on getting his point total up. He ended up scoring 13 points on 12 fga in second half plus overtime. He had six assists in the first half, but had zero assists in the second half.

On the plus side, Clarkson hit a critical three to tie the game with 33 seconds left in regulation. He hit another big three in overtime.

Even if the Jazz had lost this game, the way they played for 3 quarters was fantastic! Late game hero ball is what doomed this team last season, so when it started to creep into the flow, it showed how that method doesn't work for this team. Almost an epic fail, but this time they come together and get the job done.

The play by Markkanan to save the back court violation was the difference, just like the Gobert foul in the previous game. OK Maybe the Clarkson block was the best play of the game. Both deserve highlights.

This is the way t0 play the season, play hard, but lose, makes it really exciting and still the odds can be in favor of VW.

I think this season's Pelicans are going to be quite good. We were lucky that Jazz-killer Brandon Ingram didn't play very many minutes. He was already at 10 pts on 5 fga in just 11 mins of play when he went out with the concussion. He was getting himself clean looks at the basket from mid range fairly easily.

Calm down goddammit.
Some point this fun will end.
It is EARLY season and most teams are still finding their game etc.

Nobody didn't expect nothing from this Jazz team they're so clear underdogs as ever can be.
Jazz are taking full advantage of their underdog situation and it shows.

There will be trades WHEN TIME IS RIGHT you can be sure for that
so lets allow players like Clarkson, Conley, Markkanen etc boost their trade value before they get traded OK?.

What further this season goes that better most NBA teams will learn scout Jazz strenghts as a team and eliminate them
even Markkanen gets scouted at some point he won't score 20-30 points per game whole year.

Because even idiot NBA coach knows that Markkanen is passable player
but he's not Dirk Nowitzki or Lebron James who carries his team night in and night out.
Markkanen is a rental not franchise corner stone for Jazz and he'll find himself another team when time is right.

Markkanen just continues on that where he finished with team Finland in eurobasket tournament
where his PPG was 27,9 so enjoy now when you can.

But later this season Jazz will be there where they belongs and it is bottom 5 in western NBA conference. Believe that.
