I’m sure we’re going to wait until were more so at full health (Dipo and Yogurt) to see what we have, but I don’t think it’s going to be enough. If a trade comes up for a superstar like KD and they want anyone on the roster sans Jimmy, the FO needs to stop playing and do it. Idc. Jimmy is not going to be this great for that long. We need to maximize this window and pair him with another star.

I’m in your camp, trade anyone not named Butler. It would be great to keep some of the core but reality may dictate sacrifices. Nothing is free.

Great.

Now be humble and accept your 6th man role.

It was the right thing to do to have him start the year in the starting 5.

It's clear now that they benefit more by having him come off the bench and need to make the adjustment.

I mentioned this before. The Heat has the leverage here, and if they see it as a beneficial move, Herro has no choice but to go along.

Our offense is still way too egalitarian. This needs to be Jimmy and Bam’s team, with a side dose of Tyler and then the rest of the guys.

As a guy who gets most his buckets off jump shots, it happens. Sometimes the J just isn’t wet.

He needs to find ways to contribute when his shot is off.

I actually don’t think our supporting cast are that terrible if you judge them as supporting cast/role players. Except maybe Duncan, they are serviceable. The problem is that we are trying to play them in starter/main contributor roles. They basically have to play above their head and perfect in order for us to be contenders. That’s not sustainable. If Wiseman is **** one night, there’s a plethora of other dependable options for the warriors to still win. But If Strus is off a game, we all know that chances are cut in half for us to win. Because we view him as a major contributor.

Team just doesn’t have enough talent

Yep, they’re all solid players but we’re forced to rely on too many of them. We need a couple more proven veteran players who are much more consistent

That would have been good of Heat management to note BEFORE resigning him to that big contract.

Grey type on black? Are you trying to blind me, Brady Hawk?

Headache inducing graphic design choices. Egads.

This is why I said at the beginning of the season he has got to show he can get to the line (at least) 5-6 times per game. Small sample, but he is at 3.6 ftpg and has not attempted more than 5 in any game and has a total of 1 free throw in the last 2 games.

Unfortunately, I just don't think he has the skills to become a primary ball-handler. It is looking more and more like he is going to become a "tweener" in that he has the 3, but not the D; he can score, but he isn't elite at it; he can handle the ball, but he isn't a playmaker.

He may end up being JJ Redick with better handles but without the off-the-ball savvy.

There is no elite scorer on the team. That is why its important to have a scoring 6th man off the bench. Herro and Bam are not elite or great scorers. They are good scorers. Jimmy is a great scorers but not elite. They will never overwhelm opponents with scoring like they did when they had Duncan and Nunn balling and Herro and Dragic off the bench. Bench scorer is important to keep consistent scoring.

Right now Herro, Bam, Lowry and Butler are fighting over shots. No real chemistry in the halfcourt. And then there is no energy bench scorer to have a secondary wave attack

The hope was Lowry could replace Nunn and take point guard responsibility from butler to make him more of a scorer. Oladipo and Herro be the new Dragic and Herro off the bench scoring. Now its just bad chemistry

Herro doesn't have an elite first step, and his handles aren't deceptive enough to get by his man at will to constantly create rim pressure. He also cannot create enough separation to elevate and shoot especially against longer defenders. He also has a non-existent post game. He does have varied shot making from different angles around the rim with range to 3P, and he is crafty around the rim. The shotmaking is elite, but his lack of first step and advanced handles puts a limited ceiling on his overall scoring potential.

We work better when that 2 spot is just throwing up shots and can get hot in a hurry like Duncan or Max. With the way this team is built, Tyler is better off the bench. The bad part is that we are about to have damn near 50 mil coming off the bench (but not really because Tyler is still on a rookie salary for this year).

One of the most poorly constructed Heat teams of all time. Almost every decision after Chris Bosh's retirement has been a mess. It started with Whiteside, letting Wade leave, Waiters, James Johnson, Duncan, Lowry, not re-sigining Jae Crowder after he performed so well and fit in so well, the list can go on.
