Just put in a call to Daniel Stern and Dan Aykroyd to see if they have an opening in their schedules to kidnap Doc for a couple weeks or so.

Poor Reed, has to pay with minutes because Doc is trying hard to prove he was right in no playing him last season. On top of everything Doc is petty as hell

Trez wasn't used much either I don't get going small when Porzingis was on the court. Trez played 12 minutes.

Watching Harris, Niang and Tucker try to guard Porzingis was torture. Porzingis was the reason we lost the game and he wasn't defended by a real big the entire time.

I watched the game Trez wasn't the reason we lost. We lost because we had Harris, Tucker, and Niang guarding Porzingis for huge stretches.

Reed or Trey I don't really care who played but someone big needed to be on Porzingis.

Rivers determined to over extend PJ and Harden and has zero adaptability in his thinking. Since PJ can shoot, starting Reed with the other four shooters in the starting lineup against a team with size makes too much sense.

Overstressing PJ at the 5 and messed up a nice bench unit by moving Thybulle to start.

Shake also looks way too bulked up and slow this year, this team really needs a ball handler with size and athleticism off the bench. Milton is slow and no explosion.

Doc doesn't have to answer questions about Paul Reed. Would you ask Pop questions about Paul Reed? NO!

If Doc would have played Reed a lot more we probably win this game. We were defenseless in the paint. He is cooked as a coach. The game has passed him by, he plays favorites, and is not adaptable. I would fire him and bring in Jay Wright or give the job to Sam but he is going to be given a full season to fail again.

Rivers is definitely way past his prime as a coach, if he ever really had a prime to be honest. He is soooo Joe Girardi in a basketball setting.

You can play small ball doing all the switching without a help defender roaming!

If we had melton, we could have won.

If we played Thybulle or Reed over Niang, we may also could win. We dont need Niang because Maxey, Tobias and Harden are making their shots.

Lots of Monday morning quarterbacking going on of course. Everybody loves the small lineup on Monday, without another key player on Wednesday.... Melton and your superstar starting center. Harrell plays well Monday vs same team. Should've never played today. It's the regular season teams want to see how their planned lineups work and react to adversity. Tucker/Harris at the 5 is clearly the plan without Joel. However, I do believe Reed should've gotten more burn to try and slow down Porzingis. I think it's wishful thinking, and some of the other adverse issues I would have still resulted in a loss. But.... Whatever

These slow death games where Doc makes zero adjustments and you just watch teams repeatedly exploit our weaknesses.... they don't sit well.

I have a feeling these recruits by Doc and Morey comes with promises on playing time, this explains why Thybulle and Reed are on the dog house over Niang, House, Tucker and Harrell.

Or it could just be Morey’s “microball” style, which i was not a fan of and i’ve mentioned it as soon as we hired him.

My philosophy is you need to be able to play at different sizes, while i find us to be heavy on playing small this season, its very similar to the final years of Harden with Rox

I want us to continue running our starters
I want us to pair biid-reed
I want us to have Harrell at 5
I want us to play our starters without Biid and with Melton

All at the right time depending on the situation

The 5 man unit we run in the second qtr (im watching replay now)

Maxey
Harden
Thybulle
Tobias
Reed

That should be the line-up we should have used heavily in the fourth.

U need deflections with switchable players.
You can’t just put switchable player on the floor.

I don't mind the small ball unit but The Wizards were attacking it directly with KPs size.

Thats when a good coach would adjust

WHy would this be a Morey issue when Reed gets yelled by doc after an 9-0 run?

Doc maintained PJ there with 4 fouls on the third quarter for about 3 or 4 minutes with Porzingis out there too.

The Shake/Maxey small unite was getting killed by Morris and Beal too in the second and then doc insisted with it on for almost the entire 4th.

Yes House sucks right now, but with Thybulle and Melton injured is natural to play him as many minutes.....What's inexplicable is keeping Reed on the bench after he gave you at least some lick of defense on the interior and positives minutes.

Can you play PJ at the 5? yes, playing him around 25-30 minutes at it is just madness, same with trying Niang at the 5....Didn't work last season why would now?

Also, has Harrell made some good contributions last games? yes, but right now i can jump more than him and unless someone drives directly at him so he can take a charge, his defense looks even worse than what i expected.

I agree that's it's likely Glenn committed to some sort of PT agreement for Harrell and House.

Tucker, OTOH, is 37 and has been played as a wing and a small ball C. You HAVE to have had the conversation with him about limiting his minutes so he is good to go come April.

Tucker and Harris need to be split unless Jo is sitting. And even then, small doses.
