What kind of a dumb strategy is it to deliberately put Durant on the line down 3...

Bullock with the dumbest foul but thankfully KD missed. We got lucky.

Always liked the kid, nice to see him putting it together with consistency. Now someone will go cry about Bey in 3, 2, 1...

There needs to be a discussion at this point of who should play more, Bullock or Josh. Josh has legit been better in every facet and Bullock is only hanging on reputation at this point.

As I said last game, we miss Brunson the most when we have a lead in the fourth and we need someone to make buckets to keep the lead.

Re: RS 22/23 - Mavs vs Nets (Nov 7, 8:30PM EST)
The problem at the end of the game was that the game got fast and dicey and we had 3 guys that couldn't dribble on the court again: DFS, Maxi and Powell. Nets were smart to hard double Luka and force those guys to do something with the ball which often ended in a turnover or a bad shot at the end of the shot clock.
This is the formula for almost every team for every game this season. Hard double Luka in the closing minutes and have the non ballhandlers make a play. Leaving Green in instead of Bullock is a good start but there needs to be at least 1 more playmaker out there.

Poor DFS, they wanted him to have the ball under pressure, and it paid off, but he iced his FTs in the end.
Bullock needs to get his head out of his ass.

Ugly W. Take this on your face KD!
Green and Powell were amazing so far. OMG.
Bullock is a ghost. Like last year in those days.
THJ and SD at the rim are the worst finisher. What a lack of touch. At least THJ finds his jumper. SD horrible game.
No more McGee please. Embarassing.
Wood is out of the system, maybe he needs time. I don't know but his chemistry with Luka and other teammates is very low.
Luka is Luka. 9th game with 30+ points. History. Again.
P.S.
Luka was not so good in the end of the game, he forced a lot... He have to share more the ball.

That is why it is a must to put Dinwiddie & Wood back in for offense purpose, but coach Kidd disagree.

Mavs just need to showcase Bullock enough to maintain his trade value. Caris Levert has not signed an extension with Cleveland. If Cleveland is fully invested on Garland, Mitchell and Mobley, that means Levert can be convinced by his Brooklyn buddies to request a trade near the deadline. Bullock + Powell works for Levert.

He started slow last yrar too. Its not in rs a guy like bullock is important. Saw a few months back him playing 40 min avg in po, because of his defense and shooting

Bullock started super slow last year and was amazing most of the rest of the year, I wouldn't think about trading him at this point. But Green needs to play 30min a night over both him and DFS for now imo.

Yes we know that. Bullock is in his mid 30s. Once his contract is finished, would you like to be the guy to hand him another 4 year deal or would you like to trade him for value. Apart from seeing what's in front of you, you need to look ahead because I dont see Bullock getting another long term deal from Dallas with DFS signed on long term. You need to maximize him from now until his contract is up. Same with THJ. I dont see that guy getting another 4 year deal for the same price.

Not now, but eventually. I dont see him getting another long term deal with the Mavs especially he is in his 30s now. He's turning 32 averaging 6 pts per game. DFS, him, Powell or Mgcee all average in single digit points. That's 60% of your starting lineup averaging single digits. You cant invest 7 or 8 digits on something like that and still complain that Luka's usage rate is off the roof. Something's gotta change and this might be the first step towards that. You cant save everyone poverty by giving jobs out left and right. If you dont perform, you're out.

Re: RS 22/23 - Mavs vs Nets (Nov 7, 8:30PM EST)
I think i speak on behalf of every Mavs fan when i say that if this continues, people wont survive past 30 games. This is slowly but surely getting beyond ridiculous how Mavs finish these games.
A bit of stats....
Luka was the only starter with positive +/-. I usually don't pay attention to this but people saying he's doing too much, selfish etc.. Dinwiddie, even when he has good numbers, almost everytime ends up with NEGATIVE netrtg and +/- impact. So there goes your 2nd option out of the window. Bullock continues with his atrocious shooting and defense. Out of ALL PLAYERS on both teams ended with game high -18. Starting unit continues to be a huge problem.
Next thing is bench. Green's improvement and working out with Lowry has been underrated in the off season, i also didn't think he would be this improved.
Kidd played him season high 27 minutes and was +11 & 16 points 100% FG. I will again say that Kidd should go back to his preseason starting lineup, include Green and play one of Dinwiddie/Bullock off the bench.
Also, WHAT THE HELL DOES MCGEE EVEN DO???? Besides getting insane paycheck for the next 3 years?
